Default It's Time to play another round of "What if?"

OK. SO we are siting there at #11 and Mike WIlliams and Shawne Merriman are gone. But Derrick Johnson is still there. Would you trade that pick to NO along with a three from next year? NO needs a playmaking LB. We would get Howard and their 16th. SO we drop 5 spots. But we get Howard and the saints get a top player and an extra first day pick in 2006.

I guess the real question is would NO do that? The value may be a little one sided on the draft chart but it's obvious NO wants to get rid of Howard.

Isn't this essentially the same as the other thread that mentions the #11 and #16?

My answer is the same... WE NEED AN IMPACT LB AS MUCH AS NO.

No.

Yeah, but I posted it first.

I think we need an impact DE more than the LB. ANd we don't have to give up Dat in the process. I would rather do this and then get aguy like Blcakstock in the second. We would then be able to get an impact WR like Clayton with the 16th pick or at the very least Williamson, then go with another Dl, like Pollack or Hawthorne with the #20. Or even trade down for more picks and maybe recoup the third we lost on Henson.

That's a very, very good question. I would've never thought to ask a question kinda like this...

HEY!!!

My view is that this team needs a productive, bonafide pass rusher moreso than another linebacker. If we were to land Howard, I believe that the defensive scheme would remain primarily 4-3 and that our present linebackers can be very effective. JMO.

Yeah, but only by two minutes. This is either a case of great minds think alike OR you're in my head!!! If you're in my head, get out quick! It's a vast wasteland in there, ya know.

I wondered what all that echoing was all about.
