I love the draft and all it has. The anticipation of who will we pick. The idea that the skins will screw up again. The commraderie of other Cowboys fans either ecstatic over our pick or our common pain in how bad it went. But the one thing that iot brings that excites me the most is that all of the threads (some of mine included) about who we should take and how big of an idiot someone else is for not seeing how great this guy is going to be will be over. And then we can move on to reality instead of suposition. Ok, I feel better now.

I think we're all dying for it to get here. This time of year is always hard because all anyone can do is guess and hope.

Speaking of, I want to make my guess so that I can look smart (or dumb, as the case may be). I think the Skins will end up taking Merriman, as long as he's there. Dallas, meanwhile, will select Marcus Spears with their first pick.

I had been leaning toward thinking Dallas would take Marcus Spears in recent days, but as I was driving today, it hit me like a punch in the stomach.

I think Purcells wants to trade down a few spots from No. 11 and take Pollack. He could possibly play ILB (like Bruschi) or OLB in a 3-4, or possibly RDE in a 4-3.

I'll probably have a different theory in a few days, but that's the one for April 4, 2005.

The more I see the Mike Williams talk, the more frightened I get for some of your safety, my little droogies.

Say Williams drops to eleven and we pass (which I can all but assure you we shall), there are going to be some very upset fellows here at the Zone.

All I can say is that it would be prudent for some to hide the sharp objects.
