Default Cowboys Mock: 3 First Rders?

I want to know what people would do with 3 first round picks if we had them this year. Disregard cap space and focus solely on next years team. That means no developing QB's. Also, we are going to assume the following potential top prospects are off the board : Andrew Luck, RG3, Matt Kalil, Justin Blackmon, and Morris Claiborne.

Where are the picks located in the 1st round?
Can they be traded?
Do we assume no FA pickups before the draft?

I'd go DeCastro, Mercilus and Janoris Jenkins.

So you're giving me three first round picks and then telling me how to use them?

My answer would be I wouldn't use them to solely focus on next year's team. I'd take the best player over the long term.

We'll settle this with a good dust up.

Assume the picks are right after the aforementioned prospects. So you have the 6th, 7th, and 8th.
Also, you are correct no FA pick ups.

That wouldn't be following the rules.
Obviously you would never have three first rounders and you probably wouldn't ever draft for one specific year but those are the terms friend.

I think I would have to second that.

Let me clarify further, your other two first rounders replace your second and third but you still have your fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh.

Decastro, Cox, and one of the following four available: Hightower, Jenkins, Kirkpatrick, or Kuechy

Taking kuechly would mean we wasted a second round pick on carter and we can't even speculate on that yet.

The key is "focus solely on next years team". This changes the thought process.

The 2012 team must get a CB that has the ability to start immediately.

Romo's health is in danger if they don't get a Guard or Center or both.

You didn't say that we couldn't make trades.

Pick 1-9: Trade for a vet CB like L. Webb.

Pick 1-8: Trade down to 1-12 and add a 2nd.
Use these picks to get DeCastro and Bruce Irvin.

Pick 1-9: Make multiple trades to end up with 1-18 and 1-32.
Use these picks on Cox and Konz.

Summary:

L. Webb CB
D. DeCastro OG
B. Irvin OLB
F. Cox DE
P. Konz OC

If I can't make any trades and I'm only focused on 2012, it would have to be:

DeCastro
Jenkins
Konz

It is not in the original post but you cannot trade down or up OR for players.

I spit on your three 1st round draft picks hypothetical, and I ask the question, who would you take if you had FIVE 1st round picks?
