Ron Washington's decision making prowess makes me want to hurl sometimes. Nathan shouldn't have been in that ball game after the first 2 runs, period.

Nathan sucks...he won't finish the season as closer, much less make it to August IMO. They're taking a flyer on him hoping he can be a lights out closer again but his best years were a long time ago plus pre-surgery.

If Nathan blows another save in any of his next 5-6 appearances, I would be very tempted to put Ogando in his spot.
Those are the worst types of losses: when the starting pitching is incredible and the bullpen pulls their weight...and then the suppossed sure thing closer blows it in huge fashion...again.
We are 6-0 if not for Nathan.

That too
I'm willing to see for little longer before demoting Nathan, but one more outing like last night would do it.

Yeah this isn't a big shock. We all knew about this guy when he was signed. No way he finishes this season as the closer. He may not finish this month.

Yet another great pitching outing by a Ranger starter.
Holland took them into the 8th with a 5-2 lead.
We'll see if the bullpen can finish it off this time.

It's a little early to bury Nathan. The guy is a proven closer and his pitches have good movement. (yeah, even now) It's his placement that is blowing ***. The fat part of the plate isn't where you want your breaking pitches or fastballs to end up.
I'm okay with giving him some time. Ron makes some split second bonehead decisions, but he doesn't make long term ones. If Nathan continues to screw up, Ron will yank him from the closer spot.
The only time you have to worry about Ron is in the playoffs in a game where the series in on the line. ie, when the Rangers can be eliminated by losing that game. That is when you really have to worry about his decisions making. Other than that, baseball is a long season and everyone makes mistakes. You can recover from those. Ron is a great manager overall. (he has been to the WS the last two years)

If I'm not insulting you, I'm probably not aware that you exist.
Jerry Jones in the draft room is suicide on the football field. The line of scrimmage is EVERYTHING. Something Jerry doesn't understand.
