I'd say Wash gets 1 more year for sure. Depending on the results, 2 years might be a stretch. He's gonna have to make it at least to the ALCS again and that's no easy task.

lol. Wash has taken us to two straight WS and because he didn't a third straight year we are already trying to decide if his job is safe?
Yep. This is definitely CBZ.

Jerry Jones in the draft room is suicide on the football field. The line of scrimmage is EVERYTHING. Something Jerry doesn't understand.

The only reason I asked was because it was discussed on TV as what Nolan might do & I don't know or watch enough to understand why they lost..why they tanked.
I guess it's not PC to ask questions.

They get paid to stir the pot even if it requires using a lack of any form of logic or reason. Just get fans up in arms or asking questions so they will keep watching / reading / listening.

I don't think PC is the right term. The question is illogically absurd. The only time I can remember when a coach took a team to two straight championship games only to get fired was Jimmy Johnson. That had nothing to do with his ability to coach, it had everything to do with two enormous egos clashing. Washington's ego is not clashing with Ryan's. This teams failure this season had nothing to do with Washington. I think it had more to do with Josh Hamilton than Washington.

Washington is a great TEAM manager but an average at best GAME manager. He isn't going anywhere but quite a bit of his game decisions are questionable.

I would have fired him before Darren Oliver made it to the mound last year.
You can't spell bias without BS.

I don't think Washington is a great tactician, but for the most part the players seem to like playing for him.
It's easy to blame Hamilton, but even though he didn't approach the "gargantuan" numbers several folks here thought he would get based on his start to the season, the guy put together a very solid campaign. His deteriment is that he's a "hacker". When things are going well he's taking his cuts and making solid contact. His cold spells are a lot of swinging and missing and not contributing much to the offense.
But this is a lineup that led the AL in runs scored to simply dump on Hamilton as being the big reason the team didn't advance is goofy. Other than a couple of guys, the starting pitching was shaky or injured for a good part of the season.
The team still has a lot of talent but it's going to need some retooling. I don't think the Rangers will re-up Hamilton and if they do, they'll probably cut back somewhere else.
On top of that while they'll be getting the rebuilding Astros in the division next year, the other three teams are going to offer some solid competition.

No, your an example of what's wrong with sports. He picks teams to root for and you don't like it so you talk smack about it.
I've been a fan of the Lakers for well over 30 years. I've been a fan of the Yankees for over 25. I've been a fan of the Cowboys for well over 40 years.
I suppose next year I too will be changing teams and picking somebody else right?
Your story, you tell it.
