"Nope. But I've only been here nine years."

This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

“John One Dozen” because he always signed footballs “Craig Baynham – John 1:12″ and he became a pastor in later years.

I believe it was the Vikings first season so they had the first pick.

I'll admit this is a guess. On Thanksgiving against the Redskirts Emmitt ran for over 100 years for the 76th time tying Barry Sanders for second-most in league history, one behind the record held by Walter Payton.

Good guess but Hutch's first start was the game against the Seahawks when Emmitt set the all-time rushing record. You were definitely on the right track.

Jul 28 - Pre-season: Cowboys beat College All-Stars 20-7 (1972); Waived: Bruce Livingston (1987), Kevin Scott, Mitch Willis (1990), Marion Barber III, Robert Brewster, Kris Brown, Marc Colombo, Leonard Davis, Roy Williams (2011);

Signed: Jeff Sanchez (2003), Marion Barber III, Chris Canty (2005), Bobby Carpenter (2006), Alex Albright, Dan Bailey, Bruce Carter, Shaun Chapas, Dwayne Harris, Chris Jones, Kevin Kowalski, DeMarco Murray, Bill Nagy, Raymond Radway, Tyron Smith, Phillip Tanner (2011);

Birthdays: Clint Longley (QB: 1974-75, b. 1952), Keith O'Quinn (Scout: 2006-08, Assistant coach: 2010-11, b. 1973)

Trivia: (1) This collegian scored the only TD for the All-Stars against his future Cowboy team-mates; who was he? (2) After his heroics in the 1974 Thanksgiving Day Game, one of Longley's teammates had a pithy and succinct assessment of his performance; what was it, who said it, and what did he mean by it?
