1) It was the only win of the 1989 season. Paul Palmer.

2) Folk was having a terrible year, but a missed kick that would have iced the game against the Saints was the straw that broke the camel's back. Replaced by Sean Suisham. Another crappy kicker.

The nickname they referred to was "Spike". So who knows the story behind it?

Struggling to come up with any other names. I don't think Del Rio was here until after Landry left.

Jack played for us first in 89 so no not a Landry guy. Danny White was a HC but not in the NFL.

Ray Horton was a Cowboy in 89 as well.

I'll have to think about this some more.

Edit: I looked it up. Patera and Monte Clark.
Did you know there are only 5000 Snow Leopards in the wild now and they are confined to Central Asia? However, the effective global population (those likely to reproduce) is less than half that number.

I was just about to suggest a hint: Seattle and Detroit/SF. Would that have been enough to clear the old cobwebs?

I'm sure everyone would remember Patera on the "Seattle" hint but I wasn't sure y'all would ever get Clark. Well done!!

Grrr, disappointed I didn't come up with Jack Patera. Monte Clark was nowhere near my radar.

Gonna go out on a limb here and guess that it is the only time the Cowboys lost the game in one of the top 10 performances?
