Yup.
When and if Barron and Cox are gone and DeCastro is still available at #14, and the Cowboys trade down to #22 with Cleveland (so they can take Michael Floyd), the only way people don't break their keyboards griping around here will be if he slides and is still available at #22.

If they get Mercilus that would be okay. But, all of this talk about people wanting Barron is making me want the Cowboys to get him even more.

My fear is we'll have to "settle" for Brockers or Poe!

Rather have Barron than DeCastro, Cox and Coples are #1 on a short list.
Meanwhile back at the Motel, Brockers is 2012s Tyron Smith.

Honestly, he's been my pet cat for the first round pick since day 1, and as much as I've liked the fact that a lot of the "experts" are now agreeing with me, the thought that his value may now be so high that we'd have to trade up to get him has me a bit disgruntled.
That said, I don't think a number of the rumblings about different teams planning to trade up to get him or take him in the top 10 are true. There's more smoky haze going on around the league right now than in the middle of the mob at a Grateful Dead concert.

Yea, also, just because someone wants to move up doesn't mean the prospective team they'd take the place of is interested. My hope is that no one can agree on a deal :-D . It's going to be such an interesting draft to watch.

we definitely need some "shockers" in the top 10 (i.e. gilmore) to push barron down to us.

Think we would need to get Hos some tranquilezers if Cowboys pass on Decastro and take Poe or Brockers Sdogo?

Yup. It's been really comical to watch the reports in recent days saying things like "every team from 3-16 wants to trade down" but no one wants to trade up. Then the same source will talk about how team X and team Y and team Z are going to jump ahead of Team A to take Barron and Cox and everyone else and their brother.
It takes two to tango. I don't think there's going to be nearly as much trading early in the round as a lot of people seem to think. But as you said, it will be interesting to watch.

Me neither. I wouldn't be surprised if New England moved up to snag Barron. They are the one team who can really afford him.
It's also been comical to see Mark Barron as just about every teams first round pick between 10-17.

Yes, it's going to be quite ... beautiful.
Cox goes in the top 10. Barron is taken a few picks before Dallas'. Even Poe is gone. But DeCastro is available.
And with the 14th pick of the 2012 NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys select ... Michael Brockers, LSU.
While I would much rather have DeCastro, the implosion on this board will almost make passing on him bearable.

I honestly think Brockers is our 3rd option.
Decastro is last and they may even take a trade down before they take Decastro.

Honestly, I would be surprised. It would take both of their #1s to go get him, and that's if they trade up to #12. If they go higher, it would cost at least one additional pick. That's the anti-Bellichik draft strategy if I ever heard it.
I think New England may move from #27 up to the early 20s if there's a pass rusher they really like. Otherwise, I think they sit and wait for the draft to fall to them, taking BPA at #27, and then determining whether to take a player at #31 or trade it for additional picks in the second and third rounds to a team wanting to jump back into the first for a player like Weeden.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Maybe, but my reasoning is exactly what you said. It's the anti-Bellichick thing to do. He's so unpredictable that it would fit perfectly for him to make that move once. Only time will tell. For our sake I hope they don't!
