So how come he likes Phil Costa when everyone else says he sucks?

I heard Mickey talking up Costa also. Perhaps they are hearing something from the coaches.

He's always loved Costa.
And Kevin Ogletree... So there you go.

Heck, around these environs, that says it all...says it all, says it all.
There's no right way to do the wrong thing.
To compete for the playoffs, Dallas has to improve here: Only four sacks against Eli Manning over the past six games!

Lot of fans loved Olgtree his first year or so when he was flashing talent and where calling for him to get more time then Roy W. at one time. The kid has talent he has just never capitalized on the talent like he should have never sure if football has been a priority to him.

Babe Laufenberg likes Costa because he actually knows how to properly evaluate offensive line play. The center is responsible for blocking the "mike" linebacker on run/pass plays and being able to set the line calls which Costa excels at both. There were some obvious struggles early in the season with him but once the LG position was solidified with Holland the difference in the level of play from him was night and day. The whole snap issue was indeed caused by the Redskins personnel mimicking the snap count and was a one game occurence which resulted in the league sending a memo to teams they would be fined if they were caught doing it.
The only person that will be able to unseat Costa as a starter will be Nagy who is play OC with the 2nd team right now. Consider it a long shot for him to win the job.
Mickey Spagnola has talked to several coaches behind the scenes and has echoed the same sentiments about Costa via his Talkin Cowboys show.
You can also group Randy White in the Costa support section as well, he has actually been working with him since last season and in this offseason as well.
Ratliff also worked with Costa in training camp after practices last year.
"It's little bit like the description of pornography from years back. It's hard to define it. But you know what it is at the end of it. It's hard to define it. I think you know who is more physical. Often times you see that in the fourth quarter. A lot of time the team on the other side feels it. We pride ourselves on being a physical football team. It's important to us. It's an important time of the year to lay that foundation." - Coach Garrett

What a stud Randy White is. What a privilege to learn from a HOFamer.

That right there tells me you have no clue.
Babe was one of Costas' biggest critics last year. I'm not sure what he has seen to change his mind. As for Mickey, he has been riding Costas' jock for a while.

Please educate me, because I'm pretty sure you won't be able to.
