Any Bruce Carter news?
I think it is imperative that he replaces Connor at some point this year, or we are in a lot of trouble. Any news coming out of camp about him?

How can he replace someone who has never played here.

I am one of his biggest fans right now from hopes that he rises up and not only becomes good against the run but the Pass as well. Bradie James was good against the run but man he was a liability in coverage, so was Brooking for the most part...
We need LB's that can cover, hope Carter is that guy...

Translation: I've never seen Connor play but this looked like a way to get an argument started.

I'm pulling for Carter. But if Connor starts the season, and Carter takes over, or contributes a lot. Or if Carter starts, and Connor contributes. I'm fine either way.
As long as it's productive. We will need them both.

A lot of trouble? Why is that?
Is it because Connor isn't good? (He is) Or is it because that will mean our 2nd Round Pick isn't starting? (Oh noes!!!) What's the big deal? Are we going to lose every game?
Connor is a very competent inside backer in the 3-4 on rushing downs. He diagnoses quickly and is like a poor man's Sean Lee in that he has a knack for finding the ball and making tackles.

Tell me about it. I've watched the Panther games from last year, and Connor really stands out. He's also better in coverage than people realize.
If anything, I'm afraid of the Cowboys starting an inferior player in Carter simply because they're in love with his potential and they've spent a high draft pick on him.

Why is it imperative that Carter replace Conner this season? And if Carter doesn't start, why would we be in lot of trouble?

Let me translate: We can't have 2 starting white linebackers.

Or it is imperative that we have Bruce Lee guarding the middle.
OP doesn't make much of sense to me.

Because Connor is just a guy. Carolina's LBers were ravaged with injuries and he only managed to start 11 games. Carter has the potential to be great.

Ignoring the fact that you are wrong about Connor being just a guy, you still didn't explain what the "lot of trouble" is?
Are we going to lose every game? What trouble do we face?

Connor is not just a guy, he is a good ILB.
Potential means nothing, performance is everything.
