Hand shakes all around. Will probably come down between Holland and Dockery. Workout over. If me I would sign Holland. Scouts meeting now.

Jerry Jones and scouts meeting to talk about workout. My guess now is Holland. http://pic.twitter.com/9gaJdTFo

Church has improved in coverage, per Garrett - shed rep as a box safety

Garrett on Dez: (paraphrase) Dez might be built like hell, but receivers need to be able to run all day. He's improved in that regard in '12

Garrett on Dez: other factor is understanding how to use that energy... he wears out the trainers/equipment guys... he's got to channel that

WG.....could you explain the bold part please?

I don't get it, is that a good thing? means he's going hard?

It sounded like Garrett was talking about Dez's pre-game routine, like he was wasting energy doing the pre-game warmups so when it came to the game he was like half-spent.
"It's little bit like the description of pornography from years back. It's hard to define it. But you know what it is at the end of it. It's hard to define it. I think you know who is more physical. Often times you see that in the fourth quarter. A lot of time the team on the other side feels it. We pride ourselves on being a physical football team. It's important to us. It's an important time of the year to lay that foundation." - Coach Garrett

I heard he's throwing footballs at the equipment guys and throwing towels into the trainers faces.

Garrett says Dez without his shirt "looks chiseled out of a mountain," but stresses he still needs to learn a lot about staying in shape.

Montrae Holland looks lean for a change and in great shape. Don't be surprised if he's one of the offensive lineman Cowboys sign today.

Tim MacMahon ‏@espn_macmahon
"They all looked good," Jason Garrett said after three vet guards worked out. He was on way to meeting to discuss which one(s) to sign.

Bryan Broaddus ‏@BryanBroaddus
Looks like it might be two guys they sign. Front office happy with shape of players. Still working on it.

Yeah I mentioned last night signing 2, cause really right now we need 2 of them for competition for our DL.

Hopefully it will happen.

This is the full quote

Quote:
“A lot of you guys get to our games early and you see this guy out there ... throwing the ball 80 yards in the air and he’s got an unbelievable arm and he’s running around like he’s 10 years old,” Garret said. “Nobody loves football more than Dez Bryant. He wears out the trainers. He wears out the equipment guys, ‘Throw me passes. Throw me passes.' It’s unbelievable. He loves the game. But you have to channel that, and we’ve talked to him a lot about preparing yourself for practice. We need you in these practice reps. We need you in these game reps. We need you throughout the game. So you have to be able to channel that energy and be mature enough to know when you need to be at your best, and I think he has a better understanding of that.”

When/if the Cowboys add OL or two today those players will not be in pads until Monday per league rules. Have to acclimate like the rest

This is my 7th training camp in Oxnard ... Never rained here before but I've just heard thunder ...

Calvin Watkins ‏@calvinwatkins
We got pads for Friday's practice.

The new Big Three. Montrae Holland, Derrick Dockery and Daniel Loper are attending practice. Nice cool day. Look like rain.

I got some raindrops

Yeah it looks like it's going to rain. Do they have an indoor practice facility?

Nope. Why would you want to practice inside during a nice summer rain?
