Default OL Bill Nagy waived

Nick Eatman ‏@nickeatman
Cowboys just waived center/guard Bill Nagy, who had a high-ankle sprain. The team officially placed him on Waived/Injured. TE coming soon
Thank you to all donated to the Jason Witten Camp drive!

Isn't it amazing how quickly they move when it's the tight end position?

I would imagine that they want him to clear waivers and then place him on IR.
At that moment a voice came over me and said, Look up, get up, and don't ever give up. You tell everyone or anyone that has ever doubted, thought they did not measure up or wanted to quit, you tell them to look up, get up and don't ever give up. - Michael Irvin

i believe you have to have a guy pass through waivers now to go on the year long injured reserve.

if so this is a non-story.

Why do we need a tightend?

When a future Hall of Famer goes down, and a window of no return is projected, not really out of kilter.

The team signed two interior linemen already. And just how fast would someone coming in fit in this late in camp, at center? There are still guards on the roster...and Nagy makes a potential center that was available at the start of camp.

Does he need season ending surgery now? I don't think that I would make light of that as well.
There's no right way to do the wrong thing.

To compete for the playoffs, Dallas has to improve here: Only four sacks against Eli Manning over the past six games!

Because Witten is injured and out for the rest of the preseason, and Phillips is still recovering from an injury as well.

This is correct. They will put him on IR unless a team wants to claim an injured player like New England did with the Giants TE Ballard.

We still have Hanna and the guy from Penn State (not even going to attempt to spell his name). Also Albright and McQuistan have played tight end on occasion as well right??

I still think they should be looking at signing Holland.

Holland is not going to be brought in he was always injured. Just give up the Holland dream. They are going to wait and see who is going to be cut from other teams.

Not very difficult at all to see why they will add a TE ASAP. Only 4 TEs on the roster and two are hurt. Witten is out for at least the rest of the preseason. Phillips has been out for a while with injury. That leaves two. Hanna and Sczerba, two rookies.

I expect two TEs to be added with one being a veteran if possible.

Why Garrett only brought 4 TEs to camp with a 90 man roster is a legitimate question and open for a little criticism.

But the center spot if a joke of a revolving door and they're content to sit on their hands?

Actually I think you meant to say that 'the team signed two inferior linemen already,' right?

Not making light of it by any means. Just frustrated that this team continues to drag their heels regarding what I feel is a serious area of need.

4 TE's.

How many centers?

That's what I was referring to.
