Lee is the best inside linebacker we've had in a long time and looks like he'll get much better, but he still has a ways to go -- and/or Ware has to decline quite a bit -- before he's on Ware's level as a player.
Ware is an all-time great who is still in his prime. Lee is still trying to get to a Pro Bowl level.

This is as real as it gets!

they are both equally as good at the position they play.
ware is a future hall of famer and lee will be one as well if he stays healthy.
lee has the gift that is not coachable at linebacker...instincts, right angles,smarts...etc.
ware has already earned his bust whether or not he gets a ring.
lee will help this team get a ring before ware retires though.

Definitely. Ware is unbelievably powerful though. He makes it look like nothing when he hacks down on the football, and he does that a lot. I can never figure out why he is sort of labeled "soft". He just makes it look too easy even when he lays you out.

To me it comes down to Emmitt or Ware. You can claim those two were the best to ever play their position. I don't think you can say that about any other Cowboy.
JMO. It's a debate that will never be won or lost. I'm just glad he's done this in a Cowboys uniform.

I don't know that I would put him above Randy White either. Randy got double and triple teamed every play and still dominated. I'm not knocking Ware but don't forget that we have had some great players here.

Randy played the majority of his career at DT in a different era. I wouldn't really compare him to Ware.
"I just kind of stopped in the middle of a route, which is the worst thing you can do," Ogletree said. "He just told me, 'What were you thinking?' I kind of mumbled something to him and he was like, 'You're stupid.' "
"If we can get the running game going early, that'll open up the passing game for Troy." - Jerry Jones, 11/12/12

Ware is our best WOLB and Lee is our best ILB. While that's not the same as comparing a WR and an OL but you get the point.
Did you know there are only 5000 Snow Leopards in the wild now and they are confined to Central Asia? However, the effective global population (those likely to reproduce) is less than half that number.

Lee, although it's close.
The difference: Demarcus jumps offsides once or twice a game, typically in a big spot. Lee makes almost no mistakes and comes up with HUGE plays in HUGE spots on a regular basis.
Dude has instincts that cannot possibly be taught.

Nobody cares. We're all glad to have them both. A little debate never hurt anybody though.

Absolutely. At this moment, I believe Lee makes more impact. Obviously, Ware has had a hall of fame career that Lee can't touch.
