Penalty I'd like to see
this is in the this thread because Cutler is one of the worst--I'd like to see them throw flags on players who whine for a call--touch Cutler and he pops up and cries about roughing--

Would be to much....
The Refs should just continue to do what they are doing and Ignore him.
He's a baby, nothing is new about that.

A good first step would be for the refs to stop allowing themselves to be influenced by the whining. Some whiners carry more weight than others. I've seen Brady petition the refs for ticky tack calls that should not be made, then magically a flag appears.

Ahh.. whining is part of the great tradition of sports. NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, you name it.. its prevelant in all pro sports leagues. Its kind of understandable to some degree.. these guys train their entire lives and all want to win the title, and to have all the hard work screwed up by officiating would frustrate me a bit as well i would think.
Some guys do take it too far, but it only looks bad for themselves.. and really has no effect on anything.

I agree...
...I think it is very unsportsmanlike behavior when players are gesticulating with their arms and holding their hands out beckoning for a call.

I think thats a good penalty. I noticed teams that seem to cry alot seem to get their way with the officials. However, teams like Dallas who take it up the *** even though is a blown call, seem to always get calls coming their way.
Thus I like to see our team contest these calls. Doesn't have to be in a form of a rant or yell like some coaches, it can be done in a civil manner thats thats more conducive to good sportsmanship.

you mean teams like the Pats, Giants, and Steelers.....
I find it so comical how the Pats have a negative play and all Brady has to do is say something to the refs and a flag hits the ground.......negative play disappears, positive yardage and a 1st down for Pats.
GO GO

It's almost like the only flag that they will ever throw with regards to Ware is an offsides call. Admittedly he does some, but he also seems to get a lot from beating the tackle off of the snap badly.

And he's not offsides most the time they call that BS......but yes I agree he never gets holding calls despite getting tackled, tripped, held, and etc

So it would be like in baseball where you are not allowed to argue about balls and strikes?
So all the judgement calls that are not subject to review would fall into this category?
How severe would the penalty be? 10yds?
Interesting concept.

I want a penalty called unnecessary celebration. If you make a routine tackle in kickoff team and jump up pumping your arms, slap a 5 yard flag for insulting our intelligence. Same thing would apply when Marion barber breaks one tackle on a 4 yard run and went berserk like he just carried 5 defenders 20 yards. Or when a defensive linemen tackles a RB for s short gain and celebrates lol
