Minnesota is very underrated
Yeah, they went 3-13 last year, but I think 8-10 of those games were decided by 7 or less points. They're the Lions of last year.

I think they'll fade away pretty quickly.

We'll settle this with a good dust up.

It's 4 weeks into the season. Give it a few more weeks and then we can start to determine on how their track record for the first half of the season compares with teams from last year and on how they project into the 2nd half of the season.

Their defense has a whole improved (including the secondary).
Percy Harvin has always been a playmaker for the team.
They are winning by defense, special teams, and taking care of the ball.
The offense is still a work in progress.

Its on the D and special teams to continually play well if they are to remain in the hunt. The Vikings can heavily lean on Harvin and AP to make the offense competitive, while Christian Ponder grows.

Yeah me too. They are better but let's face it they have gotten some breaks in some games and when they aren't getting those breaks later on in the season their talent alone won't be enough to win out. They also lost to the Colts. That to me is who the Vikings really are.

They're as good as their QB. If Ponder plays well, they've got a chance to be a solid team this year.

I don't believe in them yet, but 7-3 before their bye is very likely.

Ponder is playing very well. That is why they are winning. Team where continuously load up the box against Peterson. With Ponder playing well enough to exploit that in some cases, teams will balance out their defense and Ponders effectiveness will go down, but Petersons effectiveness should go up.
The issue at hand is will Ponder begin to throw INTs when they start planning defenses to stop what he is currently doing.
That all remains to be seen. The one thing that must continue is their defense. If that doesn't. They definitely will start sliding.

There is a good chance that you don't like me, but there is a better chance that I don't care.
If I'm not insulting you, I'm probably not aware that you exist.
Jerry Jones in the draft room is suicide on the football field. The line of scrimmage is EVERYTHING. Something Jerry doesn't understand.

I expect them to fight for and just miss out on a playoff spot.
9-7 or so.

I dont think so. They have a solid D, solid running game, a top 10 WR (Harvin - who is underrated IMO), and a young QB playing very well. I agree with the OP, they are somewhat underrated.

I just don't think the QB is ready. Nor am I a big believer in the head coach.
I could easily be wrong but I expect the Vikings to finish 6-10ish.
