Default DMN: Raymond Radway returns to Cowboys with more confidence

IRVING — The Cowboys are still intrigued by Raymond Radway’s potential. The former undrafted free agent receiver, who seemed on the cusp of earning a roster spot before fracturing his left leg in the 2011 preseason finale, joined the practice squad Monday after being cut Aug. 27.


Radway, a McKinney North and Abilene Christian product, failed to make a reception in the Cowboys’ first three exhibition games and he said he was still dealing with the mental fallout from the injury that ended his rookie season before it even began. After working with former Cowboys defensive back Kevin Smith during his time away from the NFL, Radway has regained the confidence he had lost.
