Well I dont know if you can totally blame Dave Campo. Look at the talent the GM gave him to work with. Those were the drunk Jerry Jones years. He kept his beer googles on so he could not see the talent he put on the field.

With Clint Storner, Ryan, Chad Hutchison as your QB what would one expect.... the GM was looking for QB's on the Major League Baseball's farm teams...something totally wrong with the that.

I cant blame Campo...I want to but after almost 20 years of Jerry Jones I now know where the fault lays.... Jerry Jones HAS destroyed the COWBOYS franchise...all for his egotistic money grabbing ideals...The COWBOYS have never been his #1 priority even today....the COWBOYS are just a means at which to improve his bottom line...

Jason Garrett can not produce any better results with a highly improved talent pool.

The game had passed campo buy the moment teams started running multi wr sets. His thing was smoke and mirrors, hiding deficencies. In the end he fooled no one. I dont know how many times deion would break down our corners on the NFL network and point out 5 things they were doing wrong . Basic stuff that they should have been taught. This year we actually have the wrs playing infront of our dbs vs the line up 7 yards back and race them towards the endzone.

So you're telling me you miss Campo really?

I thought I had seen it all on this board.

Don't miss him at all as secondary coach and glad that he is gone.

But as headcoach his teams appeared more fired up and motivated than this bunch.

Our headcoach does not appear to have any passion and our team seems to be following the leader.

then play terrible the next 3 games.

Frustrating Indeed !!!

Garrett lead Cowboys to 8 wins last season. Campo lead the Cowboys to 5 wins per season, I think Jason is doing a better job at this point.

I don't really see the difference in 5 and 8 wins.

Garrett led the Cowboys to 3 more wins last season than Campo's teams. Campo had FAR less talent to work with than Garrett. Campo's teams had an awful QB situation. They had OL's that were far worse than the Cowboys have now. The RB situation was bad and Campo had to deal with 2 years with no first round draft pick because of the Joey Galloway trade.

Don't get it twisted I was no Campo supporter far from it but he didn't have a Tony Romo, Demarcus Ware, Jason Witten, Sean Lee and a lot of other solid players like Garrett has.

To be honest I'm surprised those teams managed to win 5 games each of those seasons. The talent was that bad! The Cowboys played at least 5 different QB's during Campo's tenure trying to find one who could play. Give Garrett Quincy Carter, Chad Hutchinson and Anthony Wright and see if he could win more than 5 games. His current team may only win 5 games if the light doesn't come on this Sunday.

I don't miss the Campo years. Having said that, if JG had the players from Campo's teams, I'm not sure if JG will win more than 5 games.
