Do you think Witten makes the HoF?
3X TEOTY, 7X PB, 5X All-Pro, 8000+ yards, third all-time receptions by a TE.
I hear a lot of people say no and they say Gates will because he was 34 more TDs. Your viewpoint?

Shoe-in.
When asked whether Jason Garrett is the right head coach for this team: "I don't think there is anyone else that could. I think he is an unbelievable coach. We've responded to him and he has made us better football players, better people. If you watch us I think we play with a certain relentless spirit." --Sean Lee

3X NFL alumni TEOTY. Don't think it's as big as MvP and all that, Gates earned it once.

Witten and Gonzo will be first balloters, or should be. Gates will probably get in too. Gronk is still too young to even consider, but I'd like to see what he does for another 8 or 9 years. That kid is good.

If he played for any other team, he'd be a first-ballot shoe-in.
As a Cowboy, he should make it eventually, but it could be a while. I wouldn't be surprised if he never gets voted in, though.

Agreed...Gonzales and Witten should be first ballot.
Gates is much less a sure thing to me. He had 5-6 great years but has been injured and not nearly as effective the last 3-4 years.

Agreed.. I don't get all the Gates > Witten talk. Witten has outperformed Gates on every level except for touchdowns.

I'd say touchdowns are pretty important
Gates also has a YPC of 13.1 while Witten's is only 11.2. I'm a big believer in that stat. I think it's hard to make a case for Witten as a better receiver, but complete TE you definitely can.
Both should be in the HoF if you ask me.

He'll get in. Expectations that a TE come out with a ring are not as strong as at other positions.

Agreed. Longevity and stat-padding will really be key here.
