When you look at the schedule ahead, we can beat all of the teams on it. 11-5 is good enough to win the division, and of all the teams with a sub .500 record, I'd think most teams would rather not face Dallas.

Our offensive line needs work, no doubt, and I know it will be addressed in the offseason, but Dallas could have very well swept the Giants this year, they've had so many close losses against good teams, it really could be different. The offensive line can improve, and Tony Romo will do wonders with just an extra half second of time back there. He has done well considering his new, running frantically for his life job.

We need wins, and that's all we need. I don't give a damn about anyone on this roster over wins. I'd trade Ware, Lee and Dez if it meant more wins.

I get the whole positive attitude and all that but there comes a point when the reality is we are not very good.

It could really turn ugly. Like your numbers flipped to 5-11 or 6-10

At this point 7-9 would seem like progress.

Seem...

but.....

I dont believe it would be in REALITY!

I believe I recall you predicting 11 wins for this team if it could only win that all critical, end all be all week one match-up in NY.

That's about as "emotional" as it gets.

If it takes 3-13 to blow this thing up, so be it.

I'll be surprised if we go 4-4 the rest of the way.

If the Cowboys are going to make a run, it has to begin Sunday. The schedule lightens up considerably going forward. The opportunity is there to gain some momentum and have a shot late in the season.

It's a long season. You have to think we're due to string together some wins at some point. I actually think the winner of the Philly/Dallas game goes on a run and puts serious heat on NYG for the division. The loser of the game collapses. Hopefully the Cowboys season takes a turn for the better Sunday.

My favorite smile of the week . . .

This board gets more and more unrealistic every week.

This team is not strong enough to make a run. The only guarantee at this point is that Dallas is consistently inconsistent, we give the ball away, we can't get any turnovers, and we're a penalty machine. That means ANY team on what's left of our schedule (even the Eagles, Cincy, Cleveland, and the Redskins) can take advantage of those weaknesses by the playing us close and waiting for us to make a mistake. We are prone to make at least 2 back breaking mistakes every game.

There is no such thing as a light schedule as far as this team is concerned.

When did i say definitively that Dallas was going to make a run? I said i believed that the winner of Sunday's game, whether it's Dallas or Philly, makes a run. It's a desperation type game for both teams on the brink of a collapse and someone ultimately has to win. I think winning that type of divisional game could create some momentum for a run. Obviously as a Cowboys fan, i hope it's us.

As far as the schedule, it lightens up. The strength of your opponent makes a huge difference, especially for a team that is struggling. The same stuff we got away with vs Tampa completely destroyed us the following week vs Chicago. We can ho-hum our way to a win on the road at Carolina. That type of game wasn't enough @ Atlanta. I'm not going to disagree with you that our inconsistent ways makes us vulnerable against ANY opponent. But the opponent obviously does matter. The winning % of our upcoming opponents is the easiest 4 game stretch on the entire schedule. So like i said, the opportunity presents itself for a struggling team like Dallas to win some games. If they're going to do it, the likelihood is it happens during this stretch.

Whether Dallas takes advantage of it is another discussion altogether. But as a fan, i sure hope so. I don't watch on Sundays hoping my team loses.

I don't like losses either, but what in your right mind gives you any indication that this team can create any kind of momentum? And have you seen the Steelers or New Orleans play yet? Even Cincinnati in their own house during a cold December may blow us up.

On any given Sunday. . .

Look, I have said this in previous posts, and I will say it here. One game at a time . . . I would not worry about the rest of the schedule right now. In this day of parity in the NFL, there is no such thing as an easy win. We will have our hands full with the Eagles if we don't take them seriously thinking they will be an easy W.

You're recalling wrong I never predicted 11 wins I can assure you of that. lol I suggest you go back and read our exchanges again. I was leaning towards 9 wins but never gave an "official" prediction as to how many wins the team would have. However I did predict if the Cowboys win the opener vs NY they would make the playoffs thinking the win would give them confidence and propel them into having a solid season. I was wrong! I told you prior to the season that you allow your emotions to influence your predictions that's why you predict at least 12 wins heading into every season. The team has serious coaching issues that have me convinced they'll never win crap under Jason Garrett.

I hope I'm wrong but I've seen enough lack of fire, passion and discipline from the team since he took over to know the Cowboys will remain mediocre at best under him. LIke all of us I hoped Garrett would improve as a HC entering the 2012 season but he clearly hasn't. We're seeing the same coaching errors and mistakes from the team we saw last season. He has the Cowboys regressing not progressing. The team was 4-4 at this time last season and started Nov with a win in route to 4 straight wins.

Listening to Jerry it appears he has no intention of making a coaching change. He's loves having all the control and as long as he has suckers filling up his stadium who are willing to pay to watch a mediocre team that can't even play inspired football at home in front of their own fans he'll stay the course until the BOOS become unbearable and he starts having to cover up empty seats.

Hopefully if the season continues as is he'll come to his senses and do the right thing by bringing in a competent, experienced HC who he'll give enough control to so they can change the culture and turn the Cowboys into a consistent winner again. Until then we'll continue dealing with disappointing up and down seasons and having to listen to Jerry pretend after every loss to sound optimistic about the direction his team is going in and how much confidence he has in Garrett Top.

I don't think so. This team will be lucky to break even.

In my opinion, the season was lost before a game was ever played. Yes, you read correctly. Absolutely nothing was done in the offseason to correct player discipline. We are seeing the same stupid mistakes game after game that are directly effecting the outcomes of games; the same crap we saw last year we're still seeing today. As if that weren't enough, the players, and coaches for that matter, have not shown any improvement at all in knowing how to handle big game situations and come out on top. I see absolutely no evidence that anyone other than a handful of players can handle the burden of delivering mistake free football in crunch time.

Why should we expect anything different from last year when we're seeing the same monkey business as last year?
