Default GREAT trade, Jerrycells!

FANTASTIC!

That 1st next year could be a VERY high one, and we get extra picks this year!

I'm happier that if we'd picked almost any single player this year!

Maybe just maybe that pick will be top 10 and that trade off is obviously a lot better. Tatum Bell could just as well be higher on our board than KJ and maybe SJ wasnt great value.

The best RB's in the past couple of years haven't been 1st rounders. We'll see. It took balls, that's for sure.

When this draft was falling into our lap.....I really had a feeling that BP would look to trade down....Man, hard to pass on an additional 2nd this year and a 1st next year..

Maybe, K Jones will be there in the 2nd. In the 2nd, we will take a RB and OL.

That no. 1 next year does sound nice but man jackson would have looked good in silver and blue.

yup now I will be rooting against the bills next year for sure. Hate to pass on the best back (maybe..sorry pls don't lynch me..we all have opinions) but I love getting these picks. They talk about a gutsy move by the bills this was a gutsy move by Dallas to not take a player no one thought would be available. And personally..I love it! Maybe Jackson will be a pro bowler and prove me wrong but I honestly did not think he was that much better than Kevin Jones. In all reality I preferred Wilfork over Jackson. Sorry flame on boys but I LOVE this move!

Bell might not be there:

Tenn- I dont think they can pass on Jackson
Det- Will be looking for a back
Pitt- Could draft a back
TB- not sure what pick but they could also
Oak- Will be looking for a back

We need to trade back into the first

Also, Cincy will be looking to take Jackson

Stupid trade JerryDeadBrainCells...

We gave up our first this year for that first next year. We didn't get an extra first...we swapped them.

So essentially, we picked up a 2nd and a 5th...

How many 5ths even make it to an NFL roster?

So we got a second and a special teams guy...

And for that, we gave up the highest rated RB which also happens to be our position of greatest need.

Plain stupid.

Jackson's knee must really be a concern.

I agree, but that #1 was too good to pass up.

I agree with this.

I am flat disgusted.

We gave up our number one to get that number one.

We got a second and a fifth.

How many 5ths become players of note?

At that spot you select for role players and special teamers...

So to my eyes, we got a second...and to do so, we passed on the highest rated guy at RB...which is our weakest position.

I don't see this as a good deal.

But Juke, how do we know he was the highest ratest on the Cowboys' board? He may not even have been their top guy -- or he may have been #1 by just a small margin.

I feel that Mo Carthon has a guy picked out that we will grab in the 2nd or 3rd. And a trade back up is likely as well.

I agree w2ith the initial impetus of the post, like I said in another threead, for a variety of reasons, I think the pick next year will be in the top 10 and no lower than 15.

I am of the mind that Perry and Jones have only a small loss of talent at RB. Parcells has rarely put huge emphasis on star RBs. I am not upset as long as we get one solid prospect.

A number 1 next year is not equal to one this year. So we actually got less than a 2 and 5.
