Default Los Angeles leaders courting Panthers

11:27 AM ET 11.11 | High-powered California political officials have been courting Carolina owner Jerry Richardson in the hopes of bringing the Panthers to Los Angeles with no luck to date, said one source familiar with the discussions. Richardson has been polite and steadfast that he is committed to Charlotte and is not moving the Panthers. The only scenario in which he would listen would be if Charlotte balked at helping him with some of the stadium renovations the Panthers have been seeking.

I hope the Raiders move to LA, so Minnesota, Jacksonville, Carolina don't lose on the sports musical chairs.

This is just useful as leverage to extort special deals out of the local governments.....

The NFL would not allow it, and there is no way Richardson is leaving the Carolinas.

Silly speculation and attempt from the LA folks.

He is just trying to help them situate a market again.

The Panthers are well supported in this area. No way the owner or even the NFL lets them go.

I know this sounds callous, but I have no problem with the Jaguars moving. Their fan support is only okay, even when they are (+/-) 2 games of .500.

They got support when they were winning division titles, as do most teams, but if you don't support your team with in reason (if they are 0-10, it's okay to stay home), then they have every right to seek a better situation.

Don't see it happening. Jaguars seem the most likely
