Default ESPND: DeMarcus Ware gets credit to extend sack streak

IRVING, Texas – Elias decided to split the fourth-quarter sack of Philadelphia’s Nick Foles between Anthony Spencer and DeMarcus Ware, giving Ware a streak of seven games with at least a half-sack.

“The streak is alive, but the thing is we’ve got to keep the streak of winning games,” Ware said.

Spencer was initially given the full sack and forced fumble that led to Jason Hatcher’s touchdown by the Philadelphia stat crew, but Elias made the change official Wednesday.

“Why wouldn’t he?” Spencer said with a smile when asked about Ware wanting credit. “He was there. There’s no doubt about that. I told him there have been plenty of times that I was around and I didn’t get half.”

Probably a better way of saying that.

Watching it live, I thought Ware got there first by a hair.

I knew it. Ware got there first.

Ware's right arm contacts Foles first at the back of his leg. Given the live view vs the replay, Ware likely got there slightly under 0.03 seconds earlier.

Watching the replay from the opposite end zone frame by frame, it looks like Ware's right forearm makes contact with Foles' leg right before Spencer hits the ball and knocks it out.

Yep, that's what I saw, too. The replay from the other side of Foles (Spencer's side) shows it more clearly.

I figured this was going to be the case. I like the call because it's the right one.

Good... 9.5 sacks for D-Ware, only 1 behind for the lead.

The sack is nice but the forced fumble was the actual play there and that goes entirely to Spencer.
We need wins, and that's all we need. I don't give a damn about anyone on this roster over wins. I'd trade Ware, Lee and Dez if it meant more wins.
