Look up the data instead of going by reputation. Emmitt broke 60+ yard runs in 4 of his first 6 seasons in the league. He didn't fail to have a 40+ yard run in a season until his 9th year in the league. Henry has had a whopping total of one 40+ yard run in 4 years in the league. They're not even comparable, unless you're talking about the 30+ year old Emmitt. If that's the case, then I agree with you. Travis Henry is very much like the 2000 version of Emmitt, except Emmit never was a fumbler.

How many times when Dallas had the ball inside their 20 yard line did you think to yourself that Emmitt might take one all they way? I guess your idea of a homerun threat in football is just not as long as mine. That's fine. Emmitt was great. We all agree on that for sure.
You can't spell bias without BS.

Pro Football Talk is a comical web site. They just make stuff up most of the time and very rarely does anything they say come true. I wouldn't drive the nail home on this one just yet.

Yes, I know that was the perception. What I'm telling you is that the perception is wrong, as they many times are.

Longest runs in a season the first six years in the league

Emmitt

Emmitt had the longest run in a season 4 out of 6 years. And one of the years he fell short he was just 1 yard shy. It wasn't until Emmitt's 7th or 8th year in the league that he became a plodder, and not surprising after the absolutely insane amount of workload he carried.

1500 yards, considering how bad the Bills Oline has been the last few years, is impressive.

I've seen alot of Henry and the Eagles are getting a steal...

By Jimbo's logic, Barry Sanders must have been a chainmover, not a homerun threat. I mean, Emmitt's numbers (long runs) appear to be better then Sanders' numbers, overall.

Seriously though... game, set, match.

With all the picks the Iggles have, don't expect this to be their last big move of this weekend. They have the ammo to do some real manuvering.

This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

Oh yeah, definitely. They've moved up in their last two drafts, and this year they have the ammo to do more moving up. I think they'll trade up to get somebody. Possibly Mike Williams if he falls as far as Gosselin thinks he will.

That, my friends, would suck balls.

If I were the Iggles, I would be making all kinds of deals. They could probably end up with 5 (or more) day one picks if they wanted. Dammit.

Why would anybody trust this resource? They don't even know how to spell his name. Is "Brian" hard to spell?
