We got 10 first downs on penalties
That has got to be a near record or something
9 for 92 for us
12-129 for the browns
not often we have such an edge in penalties on OUR side

Dallas played typical Dallas football.
It's just not good enough half the time.
This team isn't some awesome powerhouse. They're average and sloppy.

Thank the Browns Secondary, that Scrine guy seemed like he was committing a penalty on literally every play, he was horrible.

I felt most of the penalties were legit. The officials also missed a clear hold on Otree.
The officials also missed two false starts by the Cowboys one on a TD play. The officals also blew the horsecollar penalty that set the Browns up in fring redzone territory.
All in all a wash. The Browns were holding our WR's from start to finish in this one.

We're good enough to barely beat bad or mediocre teams. Not quite good enough to beat the good ones. It's really not all that much of a mystery what's going on with the Cowboys, our fans just don't want to accept it and prefer to live in a state of near-constant agitation.
When asked whether Jason Garrett is the right head coach for this team: "I don't think there is anyone else that could. I think he is an unbelievable coach. We've responded to him and he has made us better football players, better people. If you watch us I think we play with a certain relentless spirit." --Sean Lee

Good post, and I agree completely. The refs did miss our false start, but they screwed up the horse collar call as well. And the Browns secondary was literally holding our WR's all game long.

Big deal Philly got 6 last week because of penalties.

As I said in another thread.
On at least two of those IC penalties...we score if the Browns don't commit them.

We give other teams first down a lot like that so I'll take it.

Exactly. They were out of position, but still in good enough position to break the rules out of desperation.

Truth. Basically they committed a penalty and said "go ahead and try to have a 12 play drive without a mistake instead of scoring here." We couldn't do that.

no doubt about that. As soon as they felt Dez make a move, they were grabbing on for dear life. Those 5yd penalties kept them in the game and prevented the big play.

And don't forget the Browns lining up offsides not being called quite a few times. Neither team has anything to complain about except their own play, and coaching.
