Ratings don't apply when it comes to the definition of flex scheduling. The reason they did flex scheduling to show the best matchup or a competitive game late in the season. This matchup isn't defining the flex scheduling model.

If you believe that the purpose of flex scheduling is to allow a lower rated game to replace a higher rated game, then no, you do not understand ratings. Or NBC. Or their business.

Can't remember who it was, maybe John Madden, who said a few years ago that Monday Night Football needed to schedule more Cowboys games because ratings follow the Cowboys.
yet somehow we always end up with one game on MNF every season, usually early in the year...

I think he was talking about when Madden and Michaels were on ABC doing the MNF game

Of course not now because the MNF game is like Sunday Night and Sunday Night is what Monday Night used to be

GiantFan might care given we are on their tail for the division lead.

so why won't we beat a team with a worse record than we have?

The Eagles won't have Vick or Shady which is why I expected the game to be flexed

It means the fix is on?

If so, outstanding.

I'm the opposite. I prefer Sunday early games, then the late games and then the night games. Anything other than Sunday is an abortion.

We'll settle this with a good dust up.
