I don't think the release, if it occurs, has anything to do with the concussion

What? are you kidding? Dallas doesn't sign cast off Redskins. This organization is tanking.

Hmm, how would your co-worker know who would be released?

It seems a bit odd that someone would tell a guy who was being signed what other roster move would be made to free his spot.

Not doubting what you heard but from a critical thinking standpoint it seems like your co-worker might be speculating

the only scenario where I could see this might happen is if Armstrong had other suitors, and his signing was contingent on him knowing what the WRs on the team would be - in order for him to know who his competition would be for playing time

As I mentioned earlier, he is his stepbrother...pretty reliable source! As I also mentioned, I was told Ogletree "may get released". Not sure where that information came from, but they've told him they're signing him on Friday.

Seems a bit odd that a street FA would command that sort of leverage. Also, he's been released by nearly every team in the league already this year. There aren't many other suitors left.

exactly - that's why I started my post with "the only scenario where I could see this might happen is if"

I think if a street FA came in and wanted answers like that, he'd likely just get shown the door

He was released by the Redskins, Dolphins, and Jags. I think the Jags released him because Robinson came back...not sure though.

He plays special teams and maybe Dallas wants more info on the Redskins???

Also, supposedly Shanahan promised him he had a starting position and the next thing, they sign Garcon and Morgan, and he's gone. He had been working out with RGIII this past offseason.

But why would the Cowboys front office reveal their plans for Ogletree?

Yeah. I don't think that part gets out yet, if this scenario is true. I'm not doubting the guy's story, but the waiving Ogletree part could be pure speculation.

Okay, so here is what I found out: apparently, Anthony's agent told him that they're probably going to release Ogletree. Also, he got an offer to come back to the Jags since Laurent is out again. He declined and wants to play here. He's supposed to sign Friday.

I have no idea if the KO release is speculation or just came up with questions about playing time between him and the agent, trying to decide between Dallas and Jax. I was told that it's an "under the table" comment. He'll get to play at home now.
