Is this the Cowboys Zone or the twighlights zone? How can people honestly defend Otree? The guy runs poor routes, he isn't very bright, he tries to catch balls with his chest instead of hands, and is practically unreliable.

He will be gone next year and then out of the league a year or so after. He is a scrub WR. Give me Harris or beasley any day over Otree.

Glad for the kid. I hope he shows up. I have been waiting for him to be the slot guy for two years now.

Same here. He is such a passionate player and I'm very happy that he is getting his shot.

Exactly. This is his chance.

I do think with Harris in the lineup we will see him lined up more in the slot with Austin and Dez on the outside as opposed to Tree who lines up more times on the outside with Miles moving inside to the slot.

I think we see this on every team in the NFL. NFL coaches have this thing for hanging on to guys they trust or vets over young unproven guys that are later round picks. Playing first round picks because they are first round picks.

Kind of crazy but if you watch the NFL it happens on a lot of NFL teams. The one thing I learned over the years coaches are weird beast and even good coaches make some weird choices on who they play.

Kevin Ogletree has yet to practice this week after sustaining a concussion in Week 11. Harris and Cole Beasley were already beginning to eat into his snap-count. Harris isn't a fantasy option outside of deeper return-yardage leagues.

It is hard to believe it took an injury to Ogletree for this to happen. Hopefully this will not change when Ogletree is healthy...

I agree with you 100%. Its the same individuals who would defend both Roy Williams. It's as if they are thinking like Jerry Jones when it comes to evaulating players.

Actually, that is one of our bigger issues IMO - but maybe that is just me. A reliable option for Romo is extremely important, especially under pressure!

Well.. looks like we have something in common then. When Otree had the game of his life against the Giants in week 1, that guaranteed him the #3 wr for the year... regardless of if he didn't ANYTHING the rest of the year. The only thing that changed his fate is the injury. I seriously doubt he plays for the rest of the season. That very well may have been the last time you see Otree playing in a Cowboys uniform.. because you KNOW Harris is going to take advantage of his shot.

I'd imagine that most of that came against the Giants. I may be wrong, but his production in weeks 2-11 is likely are less than most #3 wrs

I do believe the coaches were growing tired of him though because we were seeing more of Beasley and Harris the last couple of weeks. It was inevitable anyway.

I don't think that is the only issue though. I think they view O-tree as their speed guy on the outside and Miles can't do that because of his hammys so he becomes their only option for that role.

Tree has had 2 games where he was 90 + yards. Not trying to build him up as some top WR he is a 3rd WR and as I said pretty much a 4th option. He is not going to have a lot of big days when you have 3 quality targets on the field.

Like others I'm excited for Harris to get this chance and I hope he goes out and takes advantage of the oppertunity he is getting. If in doing that he wins the job great. I do think there is more of an upside with Harris than with Tree. What I don't care for is some of the attacks when the fact is so many that praised Crayton when he was putting up the same kind of numbers as Tree has this year.

As much as I like Dez and Miles I have more issues with them in blowing routs than I do some 3rd WR on the roster who is being made a scape goat
