Cowboy coaches judgment of talent!
After seeing Cole Beasley sitting on the bench and watching ogletree dropping passes and messing up routes and still keep on playing as the 3rd WR, after watching Amendola having a very good couple of years in St louis after being left out by keeping such talents as Ogletree, Hurd, stanback etc, after watching Miles become a star in his first start after an injury to the great roy williams and last year the same with Murray last year become a star by default after an injury to felix, i wonder about the coaches judgement in deciding who plays more!

Ya know what I wonder?
How much the coaches actually decide who plays more.

We'll settle this with a good dust up.

So Jerry Jones, the guy who brought you the personnel decisions of 1994-2002, suddenly found Tony Romos and Miles Austins in UDFA when Bill Parcells arrived?
This is what I'm supposed to believe?

Bet 31 teams wish they'd ranked Navarro Bowman as first round talent....

Really?
How did the salary cap affect Jerry in 1997 versus say 2007?
You've been weighed
You've been measured
And you've been found to be a casual fan

But I thought all the personnel moves were the result of great Jason Garrett moving towards a more talented roster...

Count Vinny testaverde and Drew Bledsoe among the greats, the latter essentially playing out his turn when there was no other choice to bench him. Parcells dragged out Bledsoe as far as he could. He also brought in Anthony Henry and Jacques reeves, two of the key pieces in us having to spend countless dollars in trying to get CBs that could actually cover in man. Our nose tackle during that era was Jason ferguson and it was only because of an injury that Ratliffe was made NT. And that too, was essentially because of Wade bringing him there.
Romo was Sean Payton and Bill Parcells brought in a bunch of aging veterans that were nowhere to be found was he actually left. And Miles Austin was returning punts and was forced into the line-up because of an injury to Romo. If Bill recognized his greatness, then why so late in drafting him and why not even attempting to have him play?
Let's not over-exxagerate what Parcells did here...

If we could find the laminated copy of our roster that is surely somewhere in Jerry's stadium suite I think we'd the proof we desperately crave.

Jerry didn't adapt as fast to the salary cap world as some (with initials JJ) might suggest. His 'try for one more ring' years with an obviously deteriorating Aikmann ended up delivering three additional years of scraping by salary cap hell. With no developing QB to train. We all know it wasn't very pretty.

Parcells actively recruiting Romo is a myth, imo. However, he did decide to go long on QBs to keep him. I do think Parcells recognized the talent, and probably made that particular decision.
