The Head Coach has responsibilities.

Asking the question takes less than 10 seconds for question and answer.

Or, at the very least demand a measurement.

This is about being alert. No amount of excuses will save Opie here. This is thinking on your feet type stuff.

It's basically the most important time in the game.

But like always in these situations, Garrett is literally STUCK in the headlights. He freezes. He can't think on his feet.

Like Ryan forcing him to throw a challenge flag.

When things pop up, Garrett thinks and thinks and thinks when he should just KNOW what to do.

I think the worst part for me is that I've been wanting a QB sneak on some of our short yardage situations, and we never run them until NOW, on a first down.

Tards...

V, they did wait until they found a running lane to do it.

I almost pissed myself laughing. The one time Dallas runs a QB sneak, it's on 1st down.

On the plus side it was more productive than many of the other runs of the day.

wasn't the delayed sneak for a TD before this horrendous play?

Not to defend Garrett but I thought the spot was waaayyy generous and was under the impression it was 3rd and one. Granted, I was in a noisy crowded room and not on the sideline....was very confusing

Not sure that was actually a TD though. When ever it was.

Romo ran it in for a 2 point conversion.

While I blame JG, doesn't your QB tend to look and see how much he needs for the first down before he snaps the ball on a sneak?

This whole dog and pony show needs to hit the pavement.
By the end of 2014 Romo will not be starting for the cowboys and the most popular phrase on the board will be..."see I knew we shouldn't have signed him to that big contract".

Not making excuses.

They never properly marked it or displayed the down and distance.

The sideline was yelling and screaming at the officials and no one knew the situation.

It was funny.

But the truth is, it should have been third down. Witten was a good yard short of the first down marker. No idea why they spotted it the way they did.
Ivy League

Jason Garrett offense rank minus Tony Sparano: 18, 14, 7, 15, 15

Which makes him a perfect match with our GM.

Don't play dumb with me, I'm better at it than you are.
