I personally believe he was better this year than last year. A lot more disruptive.

3. i think tyrone crawford has some "dawg" in him. i've seen him get a little chippy with players this year. i think this team needs more of that. i saw him and wilbur in a bar last night, they both need to become best friends with woicik in the offseason. i've seen players on UT's campus bigger than them.
4. livings hasn't been as bad as i expected.
5. dez is a superstar in the making. just needs more refining.

Thanks for playing Zordon lol. But I agree with all points except Crawford. I rarely see him on the field. Not saying that he doesn't get snaps I just don't see him. Livings is a good name. I think personally he's been our most consistent linemen which says NOTHING but he's been decent.

If all healthly, Lee and Carter will be studs for us hopefully for 10 years.
Claiborne while a rookie is doing well.. I still expect big things from him.. That expectation is tempered by the way the NFL is played now though.
Special teams has gotten better.
Romo's contract will be in it's last year hopefully (I'm not a romo hater but last thing this team needs is to extend Romo)

What do you think we should do at quarterback? Go with Orton or sign Alex Smith? Romo is the best quarterback that would be available and it would be by a LONG SHOT.

If the Cowboys end up 8-8 or worse and home for the playoffs for a 3rd straight year there will be no positives from this season. FANS/sunshine pumpers will try and spin some positives no matter how bad the season ends in an attempt to make themselves and others feel better about the season and the future of the team.

Romo's contract is up after next year.. Hopefully by that time we draft the next QB in waiting.. I don't think signing Romo for another 3 to 5 years when he's already losing half a step and will be almost 35 is a good idea. The only way it would be a good idea is if we had an o-line where Romo never got touched.

It's unstoppable which means JG will never use it again.

We all complain about why this team "sucks" and "why this team will never be good" but how about let's talk about some positives? This season isn't over with by any means and i'm not implying it is but regardless of how this season ends or doesn't, what positives can we take from this team and what can we build from it in the offseason? Here's some of mine:
1. This team never gives up. I hate moral victories. I hate the term itself. But if you can take one thing away from this team this season is that they never give up. That has to account for something right? Would you credit it to "heart"? I would.
[View Full Quote]2. Linebacking corp. I see threads saying how we may have the best linebacking corp in the league. Watching the 9ers today? Not willing to say that yet but i'd rank us under them. If we can just get healthy which is a BIG IF. But you have to love this part of our team going into next season.
3. Progression of young receivers. Not willing to say that it isn't a need because I still do think we need to upgrade this part of our team and while its a small sample you have to love what you see from Beasley and Harris. But more importantly, you have to LOVE to see Dez Bryant starting to get chemistry with Romo.
Can't think of anything else off the top so you guys help me out here lol.

Solid defense, new guys and old guys are playing well--secondary, great linebackers and defensive line.
Rob Ryan.
Nice, budding WRs..Dez, Romo, Witten, etc.
DeMarco Murray....
It's a wonder how we have a 5-6 record. We have a lot of good things going for us, but the coach is hindering us.

Slow starts, bad offensive line and bad in the redzone is the story of this seasons lack of success.

You have to take something from a season where you don't make the playoffs. Otherwise, how do you know what to build on and what not to?

How is Romo losing half a step? He's been as mobile this season as he's been....PROBABLY EVER. You think its smart throwing a rookie out there with this offensive line? And not only that, but what rookie qb you see in the draft that you think is a franchise quarterback? Because I don't see him.

The only positive I can think of is that Garrett will probably be shown the door at the end of the year.
At least I hope.

I do have one other positive.
Dez Bryant. He appears to have finally turned the corner and is playing with a lot more consistency.
He's made some mistakes this year, but the good has easily outweighed the bad.

Bailey is $$$$$$
1. Brandon Magee will beat out Ernie Sims for the backup WILL/MO roster spot.
2. Ron Leary will start at right guard over Bernadeau.
3. Joseph Randle, Terrance Williams and Gavin Escobar will have more combined TD's than DeMarco Murray, Miles Austin and Jason Witten.
4. Bruce Carter makes the Pro Bowl.
5. The starting OL will be Smith-Livings-Frederick-Leary-Free

Positives?
I'd say that if our LBs stay healthy, this year has proven that we have a couple of the best in Lee and Carter.
I think Dez might be turning the corner finally. I'm still not 100% sure he has, but it's a huge improvement from early in the year.
We play hard.

Dez - I want to believe that he is SLOWLY getting it and that some of those KEY DROPS will ultimately turn into catches in the future.
