Personally, I'd rather draft our RT and a center, and sign a FA OG like Andy Levitre.

I like Long, but a franchise caliber OT is too much against the cap. A RG is more feasible as is a Draft pick.

Vollmer seems like the most logical move IMO, Smith is the LT of the future and they're gonna stick with him, so get Vollmer and let him sure up the right side, and as I've said before, see of Free has a year or two left at either guard position

Long has been living off of his Rep the last two years; injuries have made him almost a shell of what he was before.

Vollmer will cost a lot of money and has a back condition that costs him games frequently. It would be a bad signing.

His cap hit would be around 18.5 million under the franchise tag. The Dolphins are in a similar position with Long that the Texans were in with Mario Williams. A franchise tag means he gets 120% of his current salary, which is inordinately high because he's a former #1 draft pick under the old CBA before the rookie cap was implemented.

Even if we had money some other teams have way more room under the cap then us. It'll never happen.

No thanks... You didn't hear about Tryon last night, which was great news!

I agree with drafting a RT, but I think Levitre will either get resigned or franchised. I think Dallas drafts a guard high in the first and a tackle in the 2nd round. Bernadeau would then moved to center where he would battle Kowalski and Costa for the starting job. i think the Oline looks like this next year. Smith, Livings, Bernadeau, Warmack, and Aboushi. Livings and Bernadeau are not world beaters, but they are decent lineman.

I'd go that route as well, but if we're going to be starting two rookies on the OLine,I'd prefer we have a vet RT.

Move Smith to LG or RT and get Long. That would be great.

I am okay with that, but think Ryan Clady or Andre Smith can suffice without having to pay 8 figures per year for a player who has declined a little in recent years.

I like Jake Long, and I'd love to have him bookend Tyron. But I don't see it as feasible.

Some of each...

Plus feedback from Dolphin's sites and such.

There's clear disappointment in his last couple seasons.
