Love that shot of the Enterprise (I think) hitting the water with the sun behind it.

I know what you are saying, but it just looks funny in writing.

Japanese trailer shows a little bit more, most notably the very end with the Wrath of Khan tribute. People are confused now if this is tied into Khan or not, most were predicting the villain to be the obscure Gary Mitchell which even I had to look up to remember who that was.

Watch the end of this

yeah it does for those who are not real fans of Star Trek as it was in the beginning.

Gene Roddenbery did his very best to NOT do anything that was not at least theoretically possible in some manner for the technology; and then with common sense and logic with most other things.

Having a punk like this Kirk as captain frankly makes it a joke

I find those comments short sided.

I've been a huge Star Trek fan all my life. When I was 7-8 years old, I was staying up to watch Star Trek TOS that came on at midnight and went off at 1am. The only series I never really got into was Deep Space Nine due to it came off extremely Soap Opera like.

I love the reboot.

As for Chris Pine (this punk as you put it) playing Kirk, I'm guessing you weren't such a big fan as you don't seem to know Kirk's back story. IMO, he is doing an awesome job.

Uhura (Zoe Saldana) is sexy as hell!
Formerly the notorious nyc!

I've got more red flags than Soviet Russia!

There is a good chance that you don't like me, but there is a better chance that I don't care.

If I'm not insulting you, I'm probably not aware that you exist.

Jerry Jones in the draft room is suicide on the football field. The line of scrimmage is EVERYTHING. Something Jerry doesn't understand.

I agree with you, Sam. Chris Pine has got the mannerisms pretty well down from the original series. Kirk was always cocky, and somewhat of a punk, and Pine is making it work.

1971--1977--1992--1993--1995--????

Please enlighten me. What is "my" definition of a punk? How does my definition compare to yours? Does your definition of punk include happiness? Just curious how you came to your conclusions based off of my response.
