Yeah, I voted for the trade, but can you imagine JG using any of that zone read stuff like Shanahan has? No way.

Still think Griffin will be plenty successful long term because he has a quick, accurate arm, but Shanahan has done a great job of getting the most out of him so quickly.

Is this really a question? Do you guys recognize the direction the NFL is going? How many ROOKIE QBs need to be succesful this year for fans to understand that NFL coaches are now ADJUSTING what they do to match the strengths of the kids coming out of college. In a heartbeat!!!!!!!! And I LOVE Romo. He may be my favorite Cowboy QB of all time. Just love how much he has been able to accomplish when you consider the talent/coaching he has had to play with. Especially being undrafted!

RG3 has 105 rushing attempts this year.

Tony Romo has 184 rushing attempts for his entire 7 year starting career.

History says Griffin won't hold up. He's going to continue to be knocked out of games via big hits along the sideline. Then he's going to "change his game" and cut out the rushing attempts. Then Dlinemen won't have as many responsibilities. Then the throwing windows get tighter. Then the numbers and wins go down.

We've seen it so many times before. You're fooling yourself if you think it won't happen to RG3.
victory is ours

The Cowboys aren't any closer though. That's the problem.

There are 4 constants on the Cowboys over the recent years.
Witten , Ware, Romo, Jerry.

Witten is not going anywhere, guy is still great.
Ware while still a great player most times has lost a step.
Romo ? Who knows ???
Jerry certainly isn't going anywhere.

If I had a coach that built his system around the strengths of the players he has then I would make the swap based on the age of both players.
Perfect response.... ESPECIALLY the part about Garrett
Cowboy Underdog for 2007: Patrick Watkins

Prediction: Starts and successfully contributes for 16 games.

Yes. I'm a huge Romo supporter but if we could trade for Luck or RG3 I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Romo will be long gone by the time RG3 hits his prime and he's already good.

I love him but I'd trade RG3 or Luck for Brady at this point let alone Romo. 10+ years of quarterback play is tough to find.
