In the wake of the most tragic day in Cowboys history, Fox’s pregame and Cowboys-Bengals game coverage can be described as appropriate and responsible.

The Fox studio devoted the opening six minutes to the death of Jerry Brown and the arrest of his friend and teammate Josh Brent on suspicion of intoxication manslaughter.

“Life is about decisions and Josh Brent, he made a bad decision,” said studio analyst Michael Strahan. “But hopefully the example of his bad decision will lead to other guys and other people in society making the right decision.”

Most hauntingly, however, was the extended camera shot of Cowboys safety Gerald Sensabaugh weeping almost uncontrollably through pregame warm-up.
