Default NFLPA dragging its feet on HGH is getting congress attention

NFLPA better be careful congress could cause them some pain and give the owners more leverage in the future if they keep dragging their feet.

A congressman accused the NFL Players Association of "trying to back out" of an agreement to start testing for human growth hormone in pro football. Speaking at a House Oversight and Government Reform Committee hearing about the science behind the testing, Rep. Elijah Cummings of Maryland, the panel's ranking Democrat, noted Wednesday that nearly two full NFL seasons have passed since the league and the players' union signed a labor deal in August 2011 that set the stage for adding HGH to the sport's drug program.

Doesn't he have something else to do? Take care of some real issues.

Waste of effort, time and money. Millions will be spent on this......meanwhile yet another educational program will be axed.

Do they do first level blood testing on any other drug? I suspect that may be an issue. Definitely more invasive than whizzing in a cup.

so what if it is 'invasive?'

Big deal. If the players supposedly want a clean game they should be able to get on board.

The fact that they clearly do NOT want a clean game is what this says
