This is more than just 'what's he supposed to say.' This is going out on a limb for a guy you appreciate.
When asked whether Jason Garrett is the right head coach for this team: "I don't think there is anyone else that could. I think he is an unbelievable coach. We've responded to him and he has made us better football players, better people. If you watch us I think we play with a certain relentless spirit." --Sean Lee

Truth be told, Garrett deserves three full years to fix this disaster of a roster he inherited.

Disaster of a roster?
He had 2 potential Hall of Famers (Ware/Witten)
He had a franchise QB.
He had a Pro Bowl WR and a first round WR (Dez)
He had a Pro Bowl NT (Ratliff)
He had Sean Lee
He had Anthony Spencer
He had a whole slew of the same players that make up the team today: Sensabaugh, Church, Spears, Hatcher, Free, etc.
I'll definitely agree that coaching in Dallas has its fair share of handicaps, but that roster was much better than what Parcells inherited in 2003.

The term "pro bowl player" is vastly overrated these days.

Well in 5 years he will have lost Romo, Witten and Ware. So I guess we should go ahead and just say he will need another 10 years. The 1st five to get the coaching aspect down and the next 5 to rebuild after he wasted the careers of some probowlers and HOFers. Sound about right?

Yeah, said it many times but it's an absolute joke for people to claim that this team isn't talented. We're more than talented enough to win and win big.
Ivy League
Jason Garrett offense rank minus Tony Sparano: 18, 14, 7, 15, 15

I agree. Now some of that talent is out of the lineup and there are areas that still need to be addressed. After last season I think many felt the secondary was a mess and that was addressed. OL still needs to be addressed. As for this season and the OL they have been banged up since pre season I don't think we have had the same 5 on the field for most of the season.
Dez is coming around and Murray looks like a good addition. There are things that still need to be fixed but there are positives that are taking place as well.

Stephen Jones and Jason Garrett are two peas from the same pod. They have their jobs because of nepotism, not by showing anything of value. If Stephen wasn't family, Jerry should toss this guy into the wind as well.

Yeah, you nailed it.
The staunch supporters want to use this as some validation.
Just ask where this team is actually, tangibly, clearly improved and you'll see them scatter.

I think there are improvement some taking place before our eyes. Dez has gone from a guy people have claimed does not know the plays to really coming around as many hoped for. There have been big improvements on the defense unfortuantly 2 key players Lee and Carter are out. There are areas that still need to be addressed no doubt about it

If you took the time to actually read what I wrote instead of losing your marbles you'd understand that after this year 3 had past. He gets two more years to fully evaluate his body of work, in my book. I'm not even remotely surprised you missed that though since your group is the most reactionary group of fans on this board.

I think in the case of Bryant, you have a point. As an individual, he is improving.
But the team as a whole? A direct reflection of the head coach?
Is the offensive production better?
Is the defense better?
Is the overall record better?
I'd have to say no.
No tangible sign that 'the process' is delivering results.
Now folks can say whatever they like and see what they want to see, but the irrefutable facts don't show improvement.

I would like to give Jason a chance w/ a team that has a good OL/DL before ushering him out of town.
Dez Bryant, Receiver. A man who's season is over. Gentlemen, the Cowboy's staff can rebuild him. We have the technology. We have the capability to make the world's first super human receiver.
Dez Bryant will be that man. Better than he was before. Better.... Stronger..... Faster......
