Default Mark Stepnoski 2001, 90's style

Does anybody know why Mark Stepnoski wore his old beat up jersey from the 90s in 2001?

I saw this on the Cowboys Reddit page and thought it was interesting.

Thought I heard he had it so tight, drawn in etc so that no NT or DL could grab him and control him. I suppose once he had it "just right", he didnt want to change

He played lightweight at the position and it was his way of evening out the odds

Probably because he got high and forgot his other one.

He's a major advocate for NORML.

Outside of Troy, Moose, Novacek and Woody - I think that entire 90s dynasty team partied, hard. And I know Troy and them boys didn't mind throwing back a few beers, just not the Charlie Sheen style partying that the rest of the team did.

I absolutely hate Jeff Pearlman, he is one of the biggest SOBs out there, what he did to his 'Sweetness' biography was out of line and done for sales. But he did do a good job on the Dallas book 'Boys Will Be Boys', all I can is wow, those boys got down.

I really need to read 'Boys Will Be Boys'; my friend recommended it to me and he said they cover a lot of the partying and things of that nature they did in the 90's haha.

That team was crazy, but they won so nobody cares. I think Emmitt was probably in there with Troy and Moose as well.

Exactly bro.

Winning cures ALL. You can get with a lot more when you're rackin up super bowls and dominating the entire league for half a decade.

I also seem to remember Tom Rafferty wearing his old 70s style uniform on the 1989 Cowboy team with Troy as a rookie taking snaps from him. Perhaps Stepnoski was copying the mold left by Rafferty?
