Default I heard Alex Albright has freakish measurables

I heard he has freakish measurables. Like Demarcus Ware type measurables and the only reason we got him is because he had a neck injury.

Does anyone I ow anymore about this?

Here's this from an old thread...
When asked whether Jason Garrett is the right head coach for this team: "I don't think there is anyone else that could. I think he is an unbelievable coach. We've responded to him and he has made us better football players, better people. If you watch us I think we play with a certain relentless spirit." --Sean Lee

He seems to run better than a 4.86 implies.

his 40 times are is only area he didn't grade out well in. In any case...based on his position his 20 yard dash is more important and he graded out I think as high as Ware.

He doesn't have Ware's first step. I don't think he's an OLB although he can work on getting off the ball. I believe he's an ILB more than OLB. The problem is where to put him. He may be best suited as a 4-3 ILB.
Did you know there are only 5000 Snow Leopards in the wild now and they are confined to Central Asia? However, the effective global population (those likely to reproduce) is less than half that number.

If you go to NFL draftscout a few things pop out on his pro day:

10-yard split: 1.60
Vertical jump: 36 inches (very good)
Broad jump: 10-4 (outstanding)
short shuttle: 4.03 (outstanding)
3-cone drill: 6.98 (outstanding)

Those bottom two numbers are better than Ware and Spencer. The short shuttle time argues he could have the agility and change of direction skills to become an edge rusher. He would need to work on technique a great deal but the raw measurables for a guy his size are there.

He seems to fit best at ILB for now. I love him as a jack of all trades LB who can line up all over the place. His knowledge of the defense apparently trails only Sean Lee from things that I remember in TC.

I think he is a keeper and I've been high on him since last year. The injury bug hasn't hit yet but that's always got to be a concern and probably why he went undrafted.

I think he's a player we should extend just like we have Church and Lissemore. He may turn out to be more than young, cheap depth but now is the best time to sign him before his agent dreams of $8M/yr payoffs in FA. He's still at the stage that he hasn't proven much other than he doesn't get embarassed when he steps onto the field against the starters.

Seems kind of tall for a 4-3 MLB but he seems like the kind of guy who could do a solid job no matter where you put him.

"I just always feel that he's going to find a way to win the game…He has evolved into a great, great leader of the team...He is the total package." Roger Staubach about Tony Romo

"They're a talented group with a great quarterback, and they're well on their way." Troy Aikman on the Cowboys and Tony Romo

But what do Roger and Troy know about great quarterbacking, talent, leadership, and winning anyway?

Did you hear this from an Albright family member by any chance?

We'll settle this with a good dust up.

Is it just me or did it seem like he buckled a few guys last week when he barely hit them?

This is where people get too hung up on positions. Some guys don't cleanly fit the mold for a given position but can play football and help you win. Albright might be one of those guys, and if he is, you play him at the "run around and make plays" position.
