Default Cowboys LB DeMarcus Ware will have his plays limited Sunday night at Washington

IRVING – Cowboys linebacker DeMarcus Ware will wear a brace on his injured right shoulder and have his plays limited Sunday night in a do-or-die game at Washington.

The brace will help prevent Ware’s shoulder from popping out when he extends his arm forward. Ware didn’t wear a shoulder brace in last Sunday’s loss to New Orleans. He had to leave the game late in the third quarter and only returned for one play in overtime the rest of the game.

Ware will also continue to wear a brace on his right arm that helps provide support for his hyper-extended right elbow.

Ware didn’t practice all week, but said Friday that he’s going to play Sunday night. He’s officially listed as probable.

“We’re going to have to watch how many plays we give him, pick our spots and play our other players,” Cowboys defensive coordinator Rob Ryan said Friday. “We’ll do the best we can. I know DeMarcus will play his heart out when he’s out there and we’ll just see how much he’s able to give us.”

He was wearing the elbow thing before. hopefully the shoulder hasn't gotten worse and maybe he can heal up a bit.

Given these events I don't think we can afford to let Spencer go. As it is I think we need to bring someone else to upgrade Victor Butler's spot or Wilber needs to step up.

I heard that he also had a nagging groin injury as well. Not surprising; he looks like he is running in molasses right now compared to normal.

Realistically he should not play.

I doubt he plays on anything but obvious passing downs. Even if he's not 100%...he's someone that we'd need to pay attention to, which would obviously leave less attention on Spencer. Can't double team both of them without going max protect.
