Such mistakes early in the game don't significantly alter the game. There is still a lot of football left to play where a lot of things can happen. Even Collinsworth said that Garrett must be ecstatic because they're going into the game tied at half and they've played much better in the second half of games.

Sultan, I agree with you 100%. These guys are just clueless. I wouldn't waste any more time on them. If we hire a real offensive coordinator or when Romo is gone they will realize.

Ditch Romo but let Garrett and Jerry Jones stay in their current positions?
That's franchise suicide.
I'm tired of hearing about Romo's record in one and done games. Most of those are on the road, where he carried poor football teams that had no business even sniffing the playoffs to having a chance to get there. Without Romo's near perfect play in the second half this year, our season would have been over weeks ago.

Romo is the one who most likely we can move. JJ isn't going anywhere we know that. He is in love with Red so we know he is staying. That leaves Romo who is the one throwing the picks and choking in big games.

You keep telling yourself that. My arguments have been clear and to the point. I even offered up a bet that put the burden on me, and still no takers, including you.

The fact is that Romo makes a lot of mistakes, especially when playing from behind. Earlier in his career he admitted that he presses and takes more risks than the average quarterback, and if that hasn't changed by now then it's not going to change. He was also clearly off his game on Sunday night.
It might indeed be time to move on, but if we are going to quote Bill Parcells let's use the correct quote: "You don't just dial 1-800-QUARTERBACK". There are not any especially attractive options in free agency or the draft this year.

Yeah, 8-8 and 18th round pick in the draft is so much better isn't it? Yes, the years in between Aikman and Romo sucked but that is because we didn't draft/ pick up a good QB. That doesn't mean we can't find a good one now. Have you noticed that others teams have found success with rookie QB's in the league? RG3, Luck, Kapernick, Wilson, Dalton, etc.

Ding, ding, ding, we have a winner!!!! I agree with you. People are putting blame in the wrong place. Romo carried this team this year.

"We can't get rid of the other two, so let's get rid of Romo" is a horrible reason to toss the guy who is the only thing keeping this franchise afloat. He has almost single handedly won more games for us than I can count. He's lost some too, but he's had to overcome more adversity around him than almost any QB I can remember in NFL history, considering the circus-like atmosphere with overrated talent and a broken chain of command that Jerry has built around this team.
I love this idea that people have that we can so easily replace Romo. The era between Aikman and Romo gave me no hope regarding this organization's ability to find a franchise QB. Jerry was sure that QUINCY CARTER, CHAD HUTCHINSON AND DREW HENSON were going to be franchise QB's. Yes, let's go back to that. Awesome.

Dont worry, we have the brilliant mind that thought Brad Johnson still had a pulse.

I haven't forgotten. WE didnt make the playoffs, and we have missed the playoffs a lot more often than not with Romo. MAybe not at the same rate, but nonetheless the team is not a playoff team. So save the "years after Aikman" routine. Its not scary.

Aaron Rodgers was there when we picked Spears.
Craig
Chicago thought they had a QB in Rex Grossman, Carolina had faith in Jake Delhomme. What does this have to do with the Dallas Cowboys? It just might mean that Tony Romo isn't what we thought and we may have to move forward without him.

So what? We go with Orton next year and trade Romo for a #1 pick and focus on our trenches and a safety. Then we focus on grabbing a QB in 2014.

Romo carried this team in spite of the idiot coach. I don't like 8-8 any better than you do, I just realize that Romo is the reason we did win 8 games instead of 3-5.

Sure, lets just pick one off of the QB tree. They are just so easy to find.
