No thanks, I would rather have Crennel.
Smith has never been a 3-4 guy so we would have to make the change to a 4-3 which I am for but will take a year or so.
Crennel is a top 3-4 defense guy that could really fix this defense.
Lovie will be a HC again. C rennel will not. Ryan might get one of these HC jobs this year so I say go and get Crennel.

I would go to the highest point of New York where I live and scream at the top of my lungs. I love me some lovie!!! I'd be so happy to get rid of Ryan. I hate the whole Ryan family all the way back to buddy.

Lovie Smith is going to be a HC somewhere and even if he wasn't Ryan isn't going anywhere, injuries the team suffered will see to that.

I agree. Rob has done a pretty good job but I have never really liked having a Ryan wearing a star.

It's begun. The injury excuse for every problem this team has.
Going to be a long off season.

You and me, both, brother.
Plus, it'd give us a 'Ginger' and a 'Lovie.' Two-sevenths of the way to our Gilligan's Island coaching staff. What other team could say that? Seriously?
When asked whether Jason Garrett is the right head coach for this team: "I don't think there is anyone else that could. I think he is an unbelievable coach. We've responded to him and he has made us better football players, better people. If you watch us I think we play with a certain relentless spirit." --Sean Lee

Lovie is not going to be a DC. He will be a HC next season.
What Rob did with the middle of our defense GUTTED was actually pretty decent.
No NT's left. Both all star quality ILB's gone, Ware injured. Safety's? Dont make me giggle on that one.
The middle of our defense was manned by guys off the street basically. I mean ***?? Offenses had to be drooling every week when we lined up that lineup. How that lineup kept teams under 40 points a game is a miracle.
Washingtons rushing total should be a clue what our problem was and it was not Rob Ryan.

Okay, well now that you've started that, we'll need a Skipper and a Professor, though I would like to do without a Gilligan...

A Mary Ann's going to be tough to find. Though, honestly, I'd have thought 'Lovie' would be harder, so, I guess you never know.

the thing is a lot of us hate his schemes regardless of the injuries. defense was starting to deteriorate before the injuries mounted. add lovie and watch the turnovers come back to dallas.

He should stay way away from AZ, Kurt Warner isn't coming out of retirement

How many coaches, OC's, and DC's are we gonna go through?
Same results.
It's the man upstairs who we need to change.

I don't get why you'd fire a coach that has taken your team to a Super Bowl, and ended up with a 10-6 record in a tough division. Only four teams in the conference (8 in the league) had better records. I agree Lovie will be a head coach somewhere, and will make the Bears rue this move.
