Default What's Up with the Broken Rib Story

I don't see any thread's, comments, or conspiracies. Which makes me suspect of the whole thing. But, if his ribs were broken in the 1stQ it gives him a little bit of a break on my disappointment with his performance in that game.

Naw. He won in SF with broken ribs. He just chokes under pressure. It's a disturbing trend.

I'd imagine this was either concocted or, if true, fanned to mitigate the abhorrent performance by Romo in the final minutes (and arguably the entire game).

It definitely looked like he got hurt on the short pass to Witten at the end of the first half. I said he "broke his rib again" to my Dad at the time. He still made some big throws and mental mistakes afterwards, so I don't know bad it actually was.

Yeah, it was with about 1:05 left in the second quarter IIRC. Unblocked blitzer blindisided him. You can see he's in a lot of pain after the hit.

I don't think people really used it as an excuse, more just a statement of fact. At least that's the way I took it.
