As suggested on other thread by other posters..that Jerry wants to make a huge splash for the publicity.

I don't doubt that is possible albeit unlikely.
My first question is who is he going to hire?
And let's don't go out there and get an offensive guru who runs the pistol yada. We don't have that kind of QB.
Did you know there are only 5000 Snow Leopards in the wild now and they are confined to Central Asia? However, the effective global population (those likely to reproduce) is less than half that number.

If he were to be fired, it would have happened already IMO.

Don't buy it, but the only thing hanging out there is that Holmgren coached Farve, and Jerry might think he's the guy to manage a QB like Romo. Not to mention, he expressed interest openly in the job.
But I don't think Jerry would do it.

I've read where Jerry backed Romo today but did he say anything regarding Garrett and his status as HC?

Nope. Gruden. Maybe the Dan Patric deal and Mike Florio deal wasn't nonsense.
Just listened to the interview with Ed. They asked him why would they let Payton go, he said he's heard that is where Sean wanted to be all along, NO I mean.
This could all be crap, but Werder is right, Jerry has not once said that Garrett is the future and we back that 100 percent. It's strange.

This is exactly what I said in 3 other threads.
Two names who Jerry is close to and other teams haven't been falling over to get to are Gruden and Holmgren. Jerry is peeved. As far as we know he and Garrett may talk and disagree about taking on an OC so Garrett says bye. It is just way too tight lipped for me right now. Could be a case of Jerry sending out feelers. Maybe its Cowher and he gives him all power.........

he coach-turned-analyst has surfaced as a potential candidate for several NFL openings. After a busy offseason for non-playoff bound teams that kicked off with seven head coaches being fired, Bill Cowher is being named as a good choice for several teams, joining other former coaches like Tony Dungy and John Gruden.

Jerry said leading up to the playoffs that Garrett was safe and that he didn't want anything to get in the way of the playoff chase....Well, the chase is over and we didn't make it....Nothing since the season ended that said that he'll be back for sure....
Options:
1. he could be just pissed and wants to let him hang for a while before saying that he's coming back
2. he wants certain changes on the staff and without them Garrett won't be back
3. he really wants to get someone else, but won't move Garrett out until he gets confirmation that his choice is willing to come in and take the job.

Despite what some posters have said in here, it is clear Garrett would have been gone if we wouldn't have got back in the playoff hunt. JG may have done enough to save his job, but just barely.
