Like it or not - Garrett should get a pass... Like I said, like it or not!

Completely agree. I don't mind an OC being brought in. But do not fire Garrett. I think you'll lose the players mindset if you do.

Oh great - the "I know whats going on attack" (the ones who don't know jack squat compared to Garrett - or any other NFL coordinator - use all the time)

I see a guy who has no answer for the blitz, who cant get the running game going. A guy who is slow to recognize who should be starting and who should be benched, Free, OT, Miles (took an injury to even see the field), Harris (guy does nothing but make plays and ride the pine while OT is stinking it up).
I dont see a guy who is able to tweak his system to put his players in the best position to be successful. I dont see a guy who is making good in game adjustments. I dont see a guy capable of creating mismatches or who is putting defenses on their heals.
The biggest thing I see is a guy who is a good leader, but not a great coordinator. He is the opposite of Wade. This team needs a leader on both sides of the ball, not two coordinators. He needs to swallow his pride and give up the play calling duties in order for this team to move forward. That doesnt mean he cant be involved in the creation of the game plan, it means he isnt the only one doing it. Mike Shanahan has had no issues running his offense while letting some one else call the plays.

Garrett has been running the offense for 6 years but wanting a OC is a knee jerk decision.

Once again... What makes Jason Garrett more important than our players to some of you? Why don't Romo and Co. deserve a coach who is already good rather than one who we hope one day becomes good?

Hmmm, if I have nothing else let me attack on a personal level. If "know it all" means disagreeing with you, then let me be a "know it all". Thank you for the compliment.

Not sure how you consider fixing this stale and bland offense by getting a different playcaller in here is a mistake unless you like mediocrity every year

Oh the irony!
And that's what it always comes down to with the Garrett supporters, "I think", "I believe", "I feel".
Nothing tangible to point to, just gut feelings, hopes, and dreams.

Now, do they need to be better at producing game changing plays (sacks and turnovers)? Heck yes! Those numbers were unacceptable.

Here's what I saw clearly play out for the second consecutive year.
We were able to defeat the league's bottom feeders when we played them and we lost to any playoff caliber teams we faced (with a few exceptions here or there).

Garrett needs to figure out how to get the team, particularly the offense clicking from the first day of training camp. Dallas can't play that pathetic out of the box in 2013 or Jerry will give him the Wade Phillips treatment.

Good, bad, or ugly, I think he gets another year.

The biggest mistake would be NOT getting better OLine players.
With a great OLine, you can win with a simplistic offensive scheme. See early nineties Cowboys.
With a great OLine, you can win with a marginal QB. See 2011, 2012 SF-49ers.

I think it's trench players period.
Offense and defense.
If this last game wasn't enough clear evidence to prove it, I don't know what would be?
Washington attacked our weakness on both lines.
They blitzed our weakness inside on the offensive line and they gouged our run defense on the defensive line.
We have the 'shiny objects'.
We just need better players in the trenches to make the 'car go'.

I agree.
I see no need for JG to have both obs.
