I hear what you are saying and your apporach is the smart one I suppose.
But, I think conventional wisdom is that if the head coach and coordinators are getting fired, you wipe them all out at once. IE. "Jason Garrett relieved of his duties along with his entire staff ". Do you really think Jerry Jones is having JG fire these other guys and then Jerry fires him at the end? I find that hard to believe.

I get the feeling that Rob was a Jerry hire and Garrett is now going to get his choice as DC.

funny how when garrett is "defended" numbers are called for. where did we rank, how did we fall. SOMETHING MUST BE DONE.

ryan is fired and people focus on garrett.

how many times did our D fail to stop 3rd and long?

how many times did our offense (even if last year) get the lead only to have the defense get pissed off and give it back?

no one is saying garrett is "safe" that i've seen yet despite the implications running amuck.

but it does seem jones and company is tired of the defense not being there when it's mattered most.

Might be right. One thing is certain, this is it. In pro sports you dont get an extra move. This is JG's last freebie. He wont have the opportunity for any other coordinators. If this doesnt work, he is out the door.

I know. And I'm not hear to argue. And I'm not saying I am right. But my feelings are that they both have done a sub-par job....if they both were fired today, you wouldnt hear a peep out of me about it. We can find a better def coord, I'm sure. Just like we can upgrade at head coach too.
