Seeing the Dallas Cowboys glass half full since 1979!

I'll never sugar coat a turd though. We clearly have coaching issues that revolve around an apprentice HC that is spread too thin. I won't really be happy until I see someone else named as the new OC.

Jerry Jones being in the picture makes sure we are at full turd every season.

We will find that the stage is too big for Garrett and he will be fired at the end of the 2013 season.

Now this isn't burning bush stuff. But depending on whom Jerry names as the DC and OC, Garrett was just handed a do not fail ultimatum.

If Jerry can snag Lovie, someway, somehow, then we would have a coach in waiting if Garrett were to fail in 2013. I like having contingency plans, even though I support Garrett.

Thats cool. I wish I could think like you do. My blood pressure would be better, my finger nails would be in better shape, I wouldnt have an ulcer etc etc.

I fell in love with the Cowboys Thanksgiving Day 1974 (Clint Longley game), but the past few years have been really challenging for me. Then with 2 cocker spaniels named Dallas and Cowboy...I get heat from everyone.

Outside of the Garrett thing, I agree with you. Lovie is the Lady in Waiting.

I think Garrett has shown the full array of his bag of tricks here and we won't see any progress.

But then I can be wrong about that.

Add to the mix a draft pick and you are cooking at the tackle position. I don't know what happened to Doug but he regressed at a fascinating pace since the move to RT. Strange considering RT was his natural position in college.. Later Doug.. Yet another that falls to the "got paid and coasting" storyline.
IF what you are calling Parnell, Free's replacement I would be very scared. Does he look the part yes but he gets put on roller skates a lot, he doesn't seem to hold but he also gets beat so bad he can't even get a hand on the guy. If you held a gun to my head and say choose I would go with Free, I just do not see enough upside in parnell and free has shown he can do it parnell not so much.
For those of you that were "offended" by last 2 sigs this one is for you.

Nope.
When asked whether Jason Garrett is the right head coach for this team: "I don't think there is anyone else that could. I think he is an unbelievable coach. We've responded to him and he has made us better football players, better people. If you watch us I think we play with a certain relentless spirit." --Sean Lee

I pick the second. What did JG ever do to get this job in the first place? How can you fire a guy for a D that had almost no body left at the end of the year? guys off the street playing.

This would be a perfect scenario.

Based upon what I have seen to this point, I would prefer we take our chances with Parnell + the draft versus keeping Doug at that spot. That statement doesn't mean I am 100 percent sold on pulling a Doug Free and handing the house to Parnell. I am saying that it would be nice to see what an offseason in our system will do for his development.

Jerry Jones....Selling mediocrity and excuses to the fans since 1997.

I think you're right TD3. 2013 is going to be do or die for Garrett.

Question: If the GM has stripped a HC of his OC duties cause he's not getting it done, what respect does he have left to coach the team?

Not complaining about the move, just say'n.
By the end of 2014 Romo will not be starting for the cowboys and the most popular phrase on the board will be..."see I knew we shouldn't have signed him to that big contract".

I believe TD3 nailed it. Jason will have tapped out his mulligans after these changes are completed. He is the last big common denominator.

I, personally, care more that the team is continuously improving every possible area versus worrying about how red feels. Get it in gear or exit stage left.

Please sign Lovie as DC Jerry!
