I doubt he ever will be, though. Talk about injury-prone.

I honestly don't even know what this guy looks like.

He looks to have fantastic instincts. He flies to the ball like a younger Troy Polamalu without the hair. I came away quite impressed after watching film on him. I know Bryan Broaddus was very impressed with him as well. It was quite disappointing that he couldn't get on the field this year with all the injuries we had at the safety position. He could have gained some valuable experience.

He hasn't played NEARLY enough (in the preseason no less) to have any type of idea on his "instincts".

Let's see. "doing research". Watching a YouTube video? "has size". 6' is big? This guy is a myth, like AOA or Stanbach.

As for his health... it was problematic hamstrings that kept him out for so long this season, so it's not like he was ripping ligaments out left and right. And he had never had prior hamstring issues before this year.
Didn't our strength and conditioning coach pull his hamstring this season? I think it's part of his offseason program to pull both hamstrings prior to TC

True. But I was going by some of his college games. I think you can get some idea from that. Broaddus and Jason Garrett said they noticed it in some of the limited practices they saw this year.

Lots of otherwise good NFL careers are wasted on the trainers' table. So far Matt falls into that category like nobody's business. He's got a long way to go.

He could be a special player, or he might not be.

Really not a big proclamation, when all we have to go on is a home movie that looks like it was filmed by his mother. I have hope that he can be a player, but I'm not going to sit here and count on him for next season.

Not like anyone is sitting here counting on Arkin for next season, and the same goes for Matt.
