Then our LBs would be a pass rushed like Miller and Irvin in Denver and Seattle and Wimbley in Oakland a few years back when they ran this system.
The middle LB would be to cover and stuff the run and the weak side LB would be side line to sideline and cover. Lee and Carter should be able to handle that.
What we need to run this is a Big DT to clog the middle. I think Hatcher and Crawford can play the SDE in this system and Ratliff, Lessimore, and Hatcher can play the one gap DT.
Then we need a pass rushing OLB that can do it all
[View Full Quote]In the secondary we will play press man like Seattlie and Denver and we have the CBs for that but we do not have the safeties. We need one playmaking safety, center field zone type and we need a in the box cover strong safety that can hit. Sensy and Church might be to.play that position.
That's the style defense I would want Dallas to bring in.

I think that the 'Boys can go a number of ways with the personnel they currently have NOT INCLUDING Spencer (you ALL know he is going to want AT LEAST $9M a year now). They could look like this:
RE - Ware
DT/NT - Lissemore/FA/Draft Pick (sleeper pick is Brian Price)
DT/3T - Rat
OR
RE - Ware
DT/NT - Rat
DT/3T - Hatcher
LE - Crawford
LB will also have numerous possibilities. Also, I wonder where Barry Church fits in. They could use him like the Giants did - utilizing your best 11 players could mean, if able to draft a really good S (Vaccaro, Elam, McDonald, etc...), having 3 safeties on the field with one being essentially the WLB or SLB. The Giants did a damn good job with this alignment.
