I would love to grab Elam in this draft but we have more pressing needs along the trenches.

Dives at legs way too often. That crap won't fly in the NFL.

Pretty sure Phillip Thomas had 13 INT's and 6 FF's plus he missed all of 2011.

Which is why I will literally drop to my knees and say a prayer if we grab Thomas in the 2nd. We are going DL in the 1st.

They are smart fans. He's clearly the best safety.

I'm with you on Thomas. I watched every Fresno State game this year minus the bowl game(his down) and he balls too hard. He is my favorite player in the draft.

Here is a cool little fact sheet on him:

If you build it, he will run...

Dude clearly gets the concept of how important turnovers are too...

We don't even mention turnovers because they are so unheard of.
I was intrigued by him earlier in the offseason. After watching more film on him i've gone kinda cold. He can at times tackle well, but for the most part just arm tackles. For a guy his size it will be detrimental at the NFL level. He takes bad angles frequently. All in all he is a liability coming up to defend the run. Is a ball hawking kinda guy, good cover safety prospect.

We need a ball hawk. Johnson and Church are hard hitters.

Johnson is more of a cover safety. The team views him as an interchangable safety. IMO we eventually need 2 new safety's.

Interesting not to see Lester on these lists. Not sure he's in the top 3 or 4, but can't imagine putting him outside of the top 10.

Yeah, that's what I think. At least they have to draft one in the first three rounds. Preferably one in the first two rounds.
