Talk about making him a lame duck coach.

If Jon was going to be the Cowboys' head coach, it would've happened by now. Garrett would've been fired.

I really don't understand the Gruden love. He was a hot young coach that flamed out like Ron Rivera did this year. Remember when everyone wanted him?

I think this Kiffin hire guarantees Garrett for at least 2 more seasons unless the team just completely quits on him...and they wont.......or the defense just absolutely dominate and everything else just crumbles.........
I personally think they will bring in an OC and then garrett will be who he is, the leader and organizer...I think he survives even if they have another losing season
I think we have a long time of Garrett.....and thats a good thing

No... Kiffin and Gruden didn't get a long all that well.

You care enough to comment like a troll. Your wish for the team to be set back 10 years is disturbing.

Gruden wants the HC spot in Carolina.

When it opens...

He turned down all interviews .

But sure hang on to that carrot though.

Gruden won't likely ever don the star.

No way. Yesterday I said Gruden would be my bet. So I'm eating my words.

Garrett for 10 more years! Monte insures it.

I really hope so, that would mean that the Cowboys are contenders year in and year out, something we haven't been in long long time.

My only question to you Hos would be, if we finish .500 or worse next year and don't make the playoffs do you think Garrett is gone?

Is he coaching for his job next year? I would think that he is but I would like to hear your honest opinion?

Bill Cowher would worry me alot more than Gruden would as the coach of the Cowboys.

I saw the Buccanneers play a few times. Its fairly common knowledge that Gruden and Kiffin had a falling out after that team collapsed Kiffins last year. He made it known mid-season he was going to coach with his son at Tennessee. Gruden got fired and held animosity towards Kiffin.

Kiffin brings on Raheem Morris. Garrett goes after 2013. Kiffin retires due to " health issues ". Hello Jon Boy!

Can he get the team to the next level in Cam's third year lets see what happens.

Come on. That's like saying you prefer Larry, over Curly and Mo.

So, Garrett will not be judged by Jerry Jones on his ability to lead men if the team again posts an 8-8 or less result.

And Kiffin will offer Garrett 10 more years by creating a defense with teeth.

I'm certain there is some equation that causes one to think these things will pass.

However, my opinion is the only time Dallas will again assume their rightful place at or near the top of the league is when Jerry passes.
